Okey, I misunderstand the main post, when it said "until recently", and i was not in db that far back to know about the banning issue. So he's not systematic banned by Douban ( that's my impression from the post above ), but by some individual's issue in certain group, as I still can see his name be mentioned as early as from last year.
Also I didn't deny about haters problems. I know they are exist. But all famous actor, actress have them. My point about bad score is no matter how haters do, there are also fans, who also give very good score, they are kind of antidote to each other. While haters bring it down, fans bring it up, so the rest is decided by general public score. When a drama is so famous and there are a lot of audience, those score outnumber both fans and hater.
If there are always about hater, then how to explain about drama with good score from the same actor ? While haters did bad things, fans also is not always fair either.

May be I missed out that period, but must be long time ago when Untamed has some issue with the gouverment, but at least when I saw The Oath of Love ( 2022 ), I didn't see the banned, you still can see post from 2022 with his name mentioned normally, or may be on certain group or period I don't know. Can't check everything all the time.
However, another thing is although there are haters which happens everywhere, there are a lot of fans too. While hater give 1 stars, fans always gave 5 stars, so DB score will mostly will be decided by general public. Even Untamed has very good score and huge number of votes, so bad score can't be blamed by haters only.

well just check any of his drama and you can see his name is mentioned normally in the comment and reviews, i don't see any banned
Recently his drama "where dreams begin" was highly back by the gouverment too, CCTV promoted it like crazy tho.

Until today it's safe to say that Huxin is one among a few xianxia ( and costume drama ), which have best score this year in Douban.
Currently 7.2/10 ( 7+ is a good score )
Personally, it's the only drama this year which I do not skip a single second, not saying drop or fast forward.
