I just can’t believe the writer can’t empower GH to have any autonomy regarding her life. She’s not a child, should should have the final say in her life. And yes I also agree that sometimes women gagged to work twice as hard to accomplish the same thing as her make counterparts. That’s why they are often shown to be tougher and harder working in Television & movie roles. I think true equality has not been accomplished especially in a police environment that has been a “boys club” long before women “were even allowed” to work in that field. A few weeks (+/-) ago there was also talk of promotion opportunities within the police department because the amount had now been confirmed or reasonably confirmed to be 10 million dollars and not just a 1000 dollars. While the chief wanted MR to get promoted to be equal in rank to SJ (his wife), the chief also saw this as an opportunity to get promoted. I do agree that MR yelling at the chief to apologize to his mother kind of pushed her over the edge. To prove she wasn’t wrong and she is as a superior police detective to him. And most recently because he lied to her!

I completely get & agree with you! I didn’t get much traction when I have said days in the past they (DR’s family) did not steal the money. They took it from what the learned was a criminal (from MR, I think) at his funeral. And they (grandparents) asked many times if they or the family could get in trouble for using stolen money if they didn’t steal it. Now irl if you find 10 million dollars in a bag or two, it definitely belongs to someone.
I get why JY is unhinged, but she’s acting like a lunatic. However if she was not set in the tax issue, she would have reported 10 million stolen not $1000. The police would have done more to find it, & the Lee family might have heard about the theft of a large amount of money from JY’s house. So while she may have a few points she also caused a few issues being cheap evading taxes. Once stolen she should have said to her father (in heaven?) that she tried to not pay taxes, but it didn’t work. Then report the theft.
I feel really bad for GJ and by association DR. They are in love and should not have to be broken apart.
