You are exactly right! I am watching ep 6 right now and said out loud for the guy to just pull over! His wife is very pregnant, he should have protected his wife and child over teaching the “kids” on the scooters a lesson!
thank you!!! why does no one mention this 🙄 one of the many reasons I hated this drama. My advice to you would…
Just food for thought as I watched this years ago.
>> It takes 2 people to start a relationship, but 1 to end it. <<
If one tells the other “I don’t love you” or “I don’t want to be in this relationship”, it’s over. If the other won’t accept that are they stuck in that relationship until the partner agrees (or forever)?
I remember reading something like this years ago and it really made sense.
Yes, IT sucks when you love someone and they don’t love you anymore. There really is no choice but to move on. And find someone who wants to be in a relationship.
Not preaching, I get why people aren’t happy with the FL. She was ready to move on. She shouldn’t have to be stuck in a miserable relationship.
I am glad you enjoyed the drama especially since this isn’t your usual genre..I hope they do confirm the second…
Hi,Speaking of time between seasons just saw this…
“According to Ampere Analysis (via Advanced Television), the average gap between seasons of scripted streaming originals nearly doubled from 12 months in 2020 to 21 months in 2025”
You really hit the nail on the head with your review!
This is not my usual genre but what a captivating story! And while I agree with you that a few more episodes would be great, they certainly packed a whole world in the 8 we got! Though I don’t really pay attention to actor rumors I had heard the ML can be not so nice in real life. Though from his first scene to the last I only saw the character he portrayed. The FL did fantastic emotions from fear to anger to hero to attraction.
I do like the chain they left if they decide to give us another short season! So different from US television with multiple seasons. Finally you are spot on that little Korean gremlin was adorable! It might be a big seller this holiday season! 🎁
Good ending. Everyone is happy and mentally healthy with no regrets.
I watched it & liked the finale!
But did I miss anything progress wise for the youngest couple?
There was the many episodes of marriage vs immaturity, then after the 3 yr time jump, were they living together at the writer’s (& FL’s) parents house? Couldn’t be! Not in a Kdrama!
And they would have had to have time in 3 years to get married. 🤔
Just trying to make sure I didn’t miss something!?!
There was a post sometime back that said it had been extended to 123 eps. But nothing I can see reflects that. If…
This was on one of the free streaming sites:
Title: 기쁜 우리 좋은 날 / Gippeun Uri Joeun Nal Also known as: Our Happy Good Day Genre: Melodrama, family Episodes: 123 <<<< Broadcast network: KBS1 Broadcast period: 2026-Mar-30 to 2026-Sep-18
The accuracy of this info is definitely not guaranteed!! 🤷🏻♂️
the preview tell us that there is more episodes = 1-?? . logically the drama finishes on friday and a new one…
Maybe it’s a never-ending Kdrama!?! 🤯
I think you are correct, though the episode count is a mystery, it should end by Friday…
Then the Korean holiday Chuseok happens soon: though it doesn’t seem to effect this show?
Chuseok 2026 falls on Friday, September 25, with the official public holiday running from Thursday, September 24, through Saturday, September 26. Because September 27 is a Sunday, many people will experience a four-day break.
Throughout this drama they have never really been the completely evil characters that you could hate with a passion.…
I understand what you mean…but > trying to kill someone with your car & Watching them and their child dying while preventing any help IS > (pretty) evil. 🫣
I was able to enjoy the entire drama (and this is a bit of a spoiler) because after Ep. 6, the production team…
Any link to the missing scene info?
As someone who really enjoyed this drama 🎭, I’d be interested in seeing what could have made it more universally enjoyable for those that were not as happy in Act 2. 🤔
To me this was even better than Once Again and that is a highly rated weekender/family drama.
I think she was encouraged to repeat his name because she said many episodes back - she never wanted to forget him.😞
I can understand why you feel the way you said. I’m just looking at it from a different perspective.
Regardless, I really enjoyed this Kdrama very much for 36/72 episodes!
Depending on if they were an hour each or 1/2 hour episodes!
There is a drunk scene & as far embarrassed I know there’s one and probably more, I can’t remember at this moment.
This was a very pleasant, enjoyable watch. it’s mostly light.
With the premise of the show, suspension of reality is required.
Enjoy, or I hope you do!

If it happened to me, I would not be as calm! 😣
Shades of grey - that’s a totally different story!!! 😳🤣😉
And very valid & thoughtful!!
Sometimes, sometimes you don’t realize how unhappy you are until something or someone makes you feel happier.
Yes it’s not a perfect system! (🫣)
I’m from the US, and I know it’s a fictional show, but what adults have to go through with family, to get in or out of a relationship, is rough!🤔
The father in OSN didn’t care his oldest daughter was being physically abused (or worse), he wanted her to stay married.
What a horrible character the father was!!

Just my thoughts!
I thought it was a good drama!!
“According to Ampere Analysis (via Advanced Television), the average gap between seasons of scripted streaming originals nearly doubled from 12 months in 2020 to 21 months in 2025”
That’s from: https://thedirect.com/article/disney-plus-star-wars-show-sentence
You may not be in to Star Wars, but I think the trend is universal…
I know the tend now is years between seasons on AppleTVs shows Severence, Pluribus and Hulu’s Paradise.
But you are 100% correct about momentum killing.
Especially if the second season starts the “next day” in the story but years in real life!
I’m in the US, shows used to be 20+ episodes every year, for years.
Though with a show like The East Palace there is a lot of work in special effects after filming. 🫣
This is not my usual genre but what a captivating story! And while I agree with you that a few more episodes would be great, they certainly packed a whole world in the 8 we got!

On AsianWiki it shows there will be 123 episodes. But I don’t necessarily believe my eyes on this one! 🫣🤔😳

She was in medical school at the start of the series.
(That usually starts after your 4 year college degree.)
The guy definitely doesn’t act like he’s in his 20’s at all 🫣
Maybe I read the subs wrong? 🤔
