YR as far as weāve seen was kind to him like a friend, platonically. He āassumedā she liked him. He witnessed her failed engagement attempt in the garage of the Sienna Hall. Six years agoā¦
MH then expected YR to sit around waiting for him magically to date her, when she had no interest in him.
(YR may have had no interested in dating JH either because he never asked either.)

JH has been dead for 12 years, when the boat accident occurred.
Six years ago is when YR engagement failed because the ghost scared the guy in the elevator.
And, MH without telling YR he liked her expected her to wait for him for 6 years while he was busy with this life.
