I hate love triangles, but from the dancers point of view he is not part of the “triangle”.
Also once he gets jealous enough he’ll remember that he wasn’t allowed to have a girlfriend (there was some rules they discuss at the buss stop before the sandwich shop was opening).

I think he’ll be motivated enough to remind her of that and make a declaration. He even said to the FL, in a quiet moment, he didn’t want to start dating her because she would think it was because of her money.
