I just wanted to offer one possible perspective (imo). From what I remember, the GMMTV CEO was standing right in the middle of that photo. For any artist — male or female — speaking up in a moment like that, especially in front of the big boss, might feel risky. It could be seen as slowing things down or causing confusion, so that alone might explain why no one said anything. Interoffice politics can be complicated, and we as outsiders really don’t know what the dynamic is.
Also just speaking as a woman (imo), kneeling in heels, tight dresses, or short skirts can be uncomfortable and carries a real risk of a wardrobe slip. So personally I would have preferred standing too.
But regardless of intent, a lot of fans (especially female fans) reacted negatively to how it looked, and that’s probably what people were responding to.
And maybe part of why fans reacted so strongly is because images like that can tap into long-standing gender dynamics that exist in many cultures, even if no one intended anything negative.
I believe it was during TikTok awards where they had a lot of GMMTV artists present. I’m not too familiar. I just saw the photos and read the comments, but the girls were all wearing dresses and short skirts and were positioned to kneel in front of the men.
I saw a lot of people angry that the men got to “remain” looking handsome and comfortable All the female artist had to struggle with keeping their outfits from revealing too much.
People seemed angry online because this is not the first time this has happened. However, I just happened to be scrolling and saw it on Instagram at the time that people were talking about it if others know more or were there they can give a better account.
I'm nervous about a 2nd season. 2nd seasons for Thai shows traditionally don't go well. But I won't lie....I would…
Tbh I don’t think there will be a season 2 (I think Tle slipped up and said 2 instead of 1 — but then poor FirstOne said “but the special ep isn’t even out yet…”then his face went 🤖)
