I've been giving this series a chance because I commit myself to finishing what I start. And I'm still…
From my limited experience, BL/yaoi has never really been about the LGBTQ experience. I agree that it'd be nice if it were more realistic: characters that actually identify as gay or bi (instead of just hand-waving it away with 'love is love'), plots that actually have to do with homophobia, gay bashing or religious discrimination (instead of just worrying about parental or peer approval), sex scenes that are actually more than just holding hands or kisses on the cheek.
The genre is evolving in the decades it's been around, and current BL live-action dramas seem to be trying to bring in more realism, but they're straddling two different genres and that can't please everyone all the time.
Is it just me, or the ending was seriously messed up? Everything was rather light-hearted and then for no apparent…
Yea, the whole gun ploy felt cheap, like Nai (and the screenwriter) were desperate. I know I sure as hell wouldn't want to get back with someone after a stunt like that.
i'm kinda disappointed? i was a huge MIR fan and loved the first season, but i can't stand the amount…
Ultimately, is any kind of drama really necessary? lol. I like where it's going, but you're right, I'll keep watching regardless because of Tee. And Fuse. And Book and Frame, and Yok and Mo, and Rodtang and Nine, and... :D
Many nods to David Lynch. Like Lynch, don't watch this thinking everything will be spelled out for you. You're supposed to wonder "WTF did I just watch." This is one of those movies for people who like to think about things and try to figure things out.
So wait... Tern and the teacher soliciting 3 ways on a hook up app? I hope people here remember the "don't yuk my yum" rule before they comment. There's nothing inherently wrong with 3 way hook-ups. What's wrong is that Book is being doubly mislead (hmmm... or is he?!?!). And the teacher's involvement may be somewhat illegal (although he does look rather young to be a teacher).
LOL at Frame's anonymous, headless, 4-pack, Jack'd avatar.
And we've got, what? 3-4 episodes to go? Seems like they've tied up a lot of threads rather soon, IMO, except for this new twist with Frame and Book. Maybe we WILL finally get the Frame/Book deluge we've been hoping for, only not as we were expecting.
When Frame and Tern were having that shoving match, Frame said something to the effect of "I know what you're trying to do." Well, I guess Frame certainly does, because he's doing with with Tern, and it almost seems like Frame was aware of this all the time.
I think I read somewhere that this was shown in VERY limited release in Thailand-something like one night only in a couple of theaters. Is that true?
Anyone know where this could be seen, EngSubs or not?
The production company, Dolphin Film, seems to have/have had several BL works in production, for example Soulmates The Series http://mydramalist.com/20150-soulmates-the-series , but with unspecified or now-passed release dates.
Anyone else notice how Season 2 seems to be divided into 3 parts? Like the opening theme and credits change twice, and the storylines seem to converge at those same times, even the filmography seems to change. Almost like there were different people (writers, director) working on each part.
I didn't watch all of series 1 I just watched Book and Frame story on you tube so maybe I have missed something…
Gay hook ups are notoriously variable. Even if both partners are experienced and practiced, accidents can still happen.
I'm thinking now that we've been seeing this whole thing from Frame's perspective. We didn't know about Book's previous relationship because Frame didn't.
That ep a few weeks back where Frame and Book are in bed and Book tells Frame about his nightmare and reveals his previous relationship with Tern- Frame's reaction, where he's 'stressed' and calls Fuse to hang out, get drunk, and almost kisses him, that whole event makes much more sense in that light, IMO. Frame thought he was Book's first, and felt disappointed he really wasn't. Book hadn't been exactly forthcoming about it, either, until then.
This movie is absolute genius, and that's not something that can be said very often. There's a twist near the end, and I'm not going to spoil it here, that elevates this film above almost every other BL movie.

Edit: the credits are in English: Thanasarn Mengbua
