What do you mean by low ratings? Mother actually has a good, balanced rating. It is the other films that have inflated ratings. People here are just giving tens and nines to every movie they like, and the highest ratings should be reserved for actually the best movies, masterpieces. I have watched over 3,000 films in my life and I gave highest rating to... one. 6 or 7 it's still a good movie.
