Most important things to know:
Boyo, Boom and Stud are collage friends who used to live together in a house but Boyo and Boom kick out Stud because he brings over too many guys. Stud then moves in with Earth, another collage friend of theirs.
! Spoiler: Earth is living with his boyfriend Dr. Sam. But during the time Stud stays with them the two get pretty close and Dr. Sam cheats on Earth with Stud.
Back to Boyo and Boom, they are searching for a new house mate, that's where Good comes into the game. He moves in with both of them and also get's pretty close to Boyo. In the 2nd season they are dating.
Boom is always deemed slutty due to her jobs as model/host/selling her beauty basically, wich also leads to some issues with her boyfriend.
Then there is also Amm, who is a friend of them and has a shitty boyfriend and on top of that has to deal with a miscarriage later on.
That's all I can remember from season 1 and so far I have no problems understanding season 2 at all.

As someone who is watching season 2 rn and has watched season 1 literal years ago and thus forgotten pretty much everything: I don't think it's really necessary, but it does make more sense for the viewer to have some background knowledge in some scenes
