only adapted part of the novel & the ending feels unfinished BUT overall it's great
the viewing lens is very important for this one. i had some warning about the ending so i wasn't too devastated, but it does feel unfinished. the rest of the drama is excellent, with great acting, chemistry, production, and ost. for me, definitely worth watching. if they made a season 2 and finished the story, this would probably be a 9.5/10 for me.Was this review helpful to you?

viewing expectations are important but it's so worth it!
omfg I LOVED this. gutted that it's only 7 episodes. you should go into this knowing that it's a slow burn with an open-ish ending, HOWEVER the chemistry is insane, and the characters are so good. I would commit crimes for a season 2, more of the story, but these seven episodes are worth it. I haven't been so hooked by a drama in a long time. Was this review helpful to you?

One word: unhinged.
I had expectations going into this based on how people talked about, and they were mostly met. I expected action, decent budget and acting and mafia stuff etc. What I did not expect was how funny it was?? Honestly Tankhun stole every scene he was in, and the side characters really made the show for me.Vegas,,, everyone always talked about Vegas, and he was one of the reasons I started watching because I wanted to see Bible in something else while waiting for the last episode of 4 Minutes to air. I can't believe it was his first acting job, he really did so well, honestly so satisfying to watch.
However, ultimately the amount of sexual assault, and just scenes with uncomfortable power dynamics was too much for me. The second half of the drama was really hard to get through, especially as the plot got increasingly messy, and I just don't think it was necessary whatsoever. A fun watch, but not something I would watch again.

bl with kdrama feel, ADORABLE and WORTH IT!!!
I adored this show!!!!! I went online expecting to see everyone praising it, so I was surprised to see some people had issues. in my opinion, it gave off realism, slice of life, slow burn vibes from the start. I wasn't expecting a huge makeout session (sometimes they barely kiss in straight kdramas hello??) I was just happy that they realised and confessed.for me, it was really lovely to see a more realistic portrayal of lgbtq today, and especially in kdrama format!! it used to be ridiculously hard to find lgbtq dramas, and often they would be like 5 episodes of 20 minutes, extremely low budget, and have a really different feel. as someone who has been watching straight kdramas for years, it was sooo lovely & validating to see a well-done, quality kdrama with the same vibe, but the leads just happen to be gay. also as a woman with a girlfriend whose mum is not happy about my sexuality and my dad doesn't know, it's just nice to see more representation of the problems of coming out. if I had come out to my friends in high school, they wouldve reacted like chanyoung, if not worse.
anyways, all that to say I LOVED this drama, it's really for the queers, heesu and seungwon are my babies and everyone should watch it, just remembering that it's more restrained than like a thai bl.
