great article. I llike the characteristics that you've listed. actually all of them remind me of the character of song sam dong (played by Kim soo hyun) in dream high. since the character is still a teenager, the 8 characteristics become more apparent as he grow up all through the drama. I think one very important characteristic of a real man is his commitment to the one he loves.
I'm only at episode 7 and seriously, this drama is just getting better! Up till now, I still don't know what to thing about Lee Joon Hee character except that he is really pitiful. I mean to do all he has done for a girl he might never get...
what kind of ending is the end of episode 6!!!!!! I'm so mad. I've waiting for the sub but now I regret ever watching that episode coz now I have to wait till next week to know what's gonna happen! I'm so mad
two of my favorite actors are making their "come back" so I'm looking forward to Producer (for Kim soo hyun) and masked prosecutor (for Kim sun ah). I might also watch orange marmelade coz Yeo jin goo is such an amazing teen actor.
I've used all of your techniques and they all work for me. I always manage to fully enjoy one show and then go to the next one without feeling down too much. and for the rewind technique I personnally save the last episode for later on and re-watch the entire dram before finally watching its ending :-) some dramas are just too good to be watched only once!
the ears are especially visible is historical dramas. for the name, if you refered to the korean culture they always have a meaning (often a nice one) so for me I can totally name one of my kids after one of my favorite character (but only as a second name). regarding kdramas revolving around the male lead I have to disagree I think it depends on the drama.
Thanks for the "ask an ajumma" articles I always enjoy to read them
regarding the food in Asian dramas, that's also the case in some korean show where celebrities are invited and offered meals during the show... at first it looks strange but when you discover celebrities schedules (especially singers) they actually don't have time to eat so they always enjoy (without restriction and even if it's on an airing tv show) getting something to eat.
so disappointing. I mean it was hyun bin most awaited come back in a drama and I don't know for others but I was expecting so much. In the end this drama turns out to be boring... I don't even hope for it to get better
