I have some good and bad points about this show. The good ones are... 1. We got Choi Jin Hyuk as the ML so for…
would be much better if they get rid of the serial killer plot. No idea why many kdramas like to add killer plot no matter it is romcom or slice of life drama. Sometimes it is just not necessary. Could they create something new to keep viewer engaged. I am a fan of thriller but don't like it when mixes with other genres.
Surprisingly good. Completed 4 eps and i enjoyed every minute of it. Its a comedy with good narrative. I like how the drama approached ‘aging'. It is so real that people have prejudices when it comes to older people of being incapable and unhelpful, and the drama gave them bit justice.
Aging shouldn't be a problem for male actors, especially in the film industry. As an actor matures, it's a good time to take on more complex roles. Top actors in Chungmuro are still at their prime when they are 40-50 years old or even older. Maybe there are some limitations on taking certain genres in TV shows because overseas markets prefer romcom with young oppas at 20-30+, but never be an issue for films.
A surprise hit, sadly it seemed it didnt do well on netflix so we can forget a second season? I also have to praise…
The show did very well on Netflix. It topped the weekly Netflix global chart (Eng + non Eng combined) in second week and has already accumulated 109m viewing hours with 21.8m no of views. The highest viewership of Netflix original (non Eng) so far in 2024. Maybe not popular in your region but it did well worldwide.
The teaser looks like a promising revenge thriller, but end up it is just a hs rich girl/ poor boy triangle romance. I can't say there is no plot or storyline, but just nothing impressive. rje is pretty but really too thin
i started this and i don't know if its good or not, the story is kinda interesting but both main acting are average…
There is no major issues with ML's acting i think, but agree that the FL's acting didn't live up to expectations. The FL's characterization is actually good...complex and dimensional, but just she couldn't deliver well.
I honestly wish people would elaborate on what they mean when they say people have no chemistry or what they are…
Basically chemistry is how two characters interact with each other, no matter whether that relationship is romantic or not. In a drama, i think 'No chemistry' means viewers cannot feel the intense feeling of connection and passion between characters.
The storytelling of this drama is kinda new and refreshing. Not a safe and predictable kdrama (so far till ep4), not a superhero action stuff. Acting is generally okay but i couldn't get good chemistry between two leads. Also the FL failed to deliver the complexity and dark side of the character. Overall i feel she doesn't fit that role.
Going to binge watch this later. Seems starting this year JTBC has cut the length of dramas from 16 to 12 episodes, hopefully there will be less unnecessary fillers that 16eps kdramas usually have.
