Fairly speaking, Yoona's comedic acting is quite good here and her chemistry with ML in general is beyond my expectation. But the FL character itself lacks development thru out the show, like we suppose to see her transformation from fake to sincere smile but this part didn't elaborate, and her chemistry with people around her such as her friend, grandama etc wasn't as good as with ML.

Much better if they combined 9 and 10 to one episode, the plot will be tighter and more engaging.

yes it seems a big problem on how they do the edits. Like quite often one scene talks about the main lead and then next minute suddenly switch to FL's friends without connection.

Every drama including romcom should have plots, but just for romcom we don't expect very complex plot and twists like crime/ thriller series but still need a plot. KTL does have a main plot, the romance development of main couple is the plot, personal transformation of Guwon is a plot. But in few episodes e.g ep10 is totally plotless without progress and thats the thing people complaint.

same i really like the first 9 eps but almost drop it after the Thailand episode, but now Ep11 and 12 have me back..will give it a chance till the end tho.

I think Guwon like Sarang since their contentious trip (ep3) where they had more time to communicate and get along with each other. He started to realise her beauty thru sincere smile (not fake smile) at the moment they got drunk. The love test that he did afterwards was more like his mind path of love confession. But for Sarang's feeling to Guwon.. i agreed that it was not built up too well in the show. She probably fell for him since he came to rescue her in ep 5 and their fun time being together in grandma's place, but her feeling was not explicitly expressed.

Look forward to it. Haven't watched any historical drama since the Red Sleeves, but this one interests me.

just 1 ep, the latest episode has gone back to double digit (¬11%).

true tho, the Saturday competition is very intense. Ep11 and 12 pick up my interests again, hopefully it will give a push of rating towards final episode.

yes i know, a double digit in cable tv is very good rating for Romcom as it is not a popular genre nowadays in Korea. Just want this show get better results towards the end.

Lee Junho is a Baeksang best actor winner fyi, he was an idol but he is also a qualified good actor, not just a popular singer. Even Yoona some people criticized her in other shows but she is good in KTL. Fairly speaking, they have given the best as they could. The problem of KTL is obviously the weak script.

i love their chemistry. but they can't have like rest of episodes focusing on dating and kissing without other fun elements/ plot...even fans would get bored. I think jtbc expected kissing scene could help viewership so they shot alot. Yes it worked for 1st kiss in EP8 and that scene went viral globally but it didn't work for ep9-11. Obviously local viewers got fed up and didn't buy in (maybe they are more conservative..).

EP11 indeed has a good balance of romance, comedy and workplace/ family conflicts. And there was good messages delivered regarding employees' value in running a business. But guess some local viewers had dropped the show after watching the plotless EP10 so the ratings dropped (the reception of ep10 wasn't good in kr forum) tho international viewers seemed ok with that episode. Hopefully people still the show a chance till the end.

yes it is very heart warming moment and i love their interactions. IMO the grandma is best supporting role alongside with Sang-sik. Also, in EP9-10 we've seen how Guwon had changed gradually when he got more involved with FL's life circle and that will influence how he deals with his problematic family and business later i think.

Agreed. the backbone of story is cliche but the detail development is quite unpredictable. They are able to add entertaining elements to keep viewers engaged n not bored. And the characterization and acting level of main roles are different from prev romcoms,

The daily chart on Flixpatrol combined both Eng and Non Eng titles whereas Netflix's weekly chart separated them. If we take out the Eng shows from Flixpatrol chart KTL should be ranked like 3rd or 4th. But anyway, KTL has been doing well on Netflix, as being the 3rd non Netflix original kdrama ever reached No.1 in its weekly ranking.

KTL was No. 1 in the Netflix Weekly chart last week, this week dropped due to release of two new shows. #7 i guess you refer to the daily chart.

i have a feeling that this will be very good.
