There is no hope!
I just finished watching this movie, and it was very heart-touching, and it made me think. The plot was a simple story about victims of the Hiroshima atomic explosion. Scenes are disturbing based on the context, and I think Shohei Imamura pictured the devastating suffering of people who experienced the atomic bombing in the best artistic way he could. All staff played their roles aesthetically, and I loved the last scene when the lead character said, “If rainbows showed up, it could be a miracle,” but the irony was the movie was in black and white, and even if rainbows showed up, you couldn’t see them.Was this review helpful to you?
Korean vibe!
Just finished watching this series and honestly, I’d recommend it. It was pretty entertaining for a bunch of reasons. First off, the actors really nailed their roles. And the plot twists? They showed up at just the right moments and kept things exciting.That said, there were a couple of things that made me rate it a bit lower. The biggest one for me was that it had a very strong Korean drama vibe. Since I usually watch Japanese dramas, I picked up on that style right away, and it felt a little off to me.
Also, the tone was kind of all over the place—sometimes it felt like a typical drama with gossip, betrayal, and office drama; other times it leaned into crime thriller territory; and then suddenly it would shift into something almost supernatural.
Still, overall, it was a fun watch and I’d say it’s worth checking out.
