I know right! I think many were expecting a much more lighthearted drama. I've also seen a lot of comments from people who were frustrated that the ML hid his feelings, when he clearly didn't want to harm their friendship. And others didn't understand why the FL hid her situation from everyone, but in my opinion, it was really touching; she really thought she was protecting them, but all they would have wanted was to accompany her in her difficult times... Everyone made mistakes, but also learned from them. Truly a good drama (one of the best of 2024 imo).
Since TLoSL and The Double, I haven't managed to finish many dramas, but now I'm officially obsessed with this one! The story is really engaging, the cinematography and the visuals are incredible and Zhao Lu Si's acting has gotten even better. I can't wait for the next episodes to come out 😭
He has a preference for solitude and seems to have difficulty connecting with most people. He thinks rigidly and logically, has a strong sense of justice and is anchored in his routine. He also communicates in a very direct way, with little consideration for his interlocutors.
But he does not display significant sensory sensitivities (being overwhelmed by loud noises, bright lights, or certain textures), he does not show repetitive behaviors or movements (hand-flapping, rocking, or repeating certain actions) and he does not experience visible meltdowns or shutdowns in response to stress or sensory overload. (But high-functioning autistics can mask pretty well those traits).
