Seriously, people in this comment section willingly drop their morals to defend the actions of characters. Nothing…
Well I do actually believe @Stagelll's comment is useful it illustrating moral relativism. There are very few actions that are considered universally immoral. For example, some people may find polygamy and having multiple partners as immoral and "shameful". But that may not be the case in those cultures. So it makes sense that we could say some people find the actions depicted in the show as acceptable or not so acceptable. But because I have read it was malicious in intent I can understand why you would say it is not appropriate. I have more problems with this (the intent) with the action.

This is quite accuruate. I agree with the other commenters that perhaps I would not excuse behaviour because of this (moreso in real life, this is just fiction) but you are quite right, having lived in Japan and Korea I can say that cheating is not a big of an issue as it is in the US/UK etc.
Newbie here who hasn't started the show yet, but just curious... what racism?
Not racism in the show. They mean recent "cancel culture" which in most cases is calling out people for their past racism and discriminatory remarks. So she's reflecting on current events, not the drama.
My favourite thing about Korea and its culture is the food. Not just the delicious dishes and cuisine Korea boasts, but the customs centred around sharing food, eating well and being united like a family at a dinner table. Even the simple "have you eaten?" greeting phrase really shows the humanity of the Korean people and culture, wanting for each person to be full :)
The point you make about it being easier for Takuto to live with the disease due to his wealthy background was very interesting; I hadn't thought of it. Indeed, having someone in a more dire situation would have been very painful. Though, I think Takuto's lifestyle made it a little more relatable. Not to say that everyone is rich, but I think most people are barely able to grasp the struggles of being unemployed and poor, so having to comprehend that as well as to think about the impact of his disease may have been overdoing it, since they could steal each other's thunder. Really nice review, thank you.
Lovely explanation of the drama. I also felt that using simple goals as his aim in life not only showed the disease's effect on one's physical ability, but the emotional strain it leaves on someone when they're unable to perform simple things, such as his goals. Thanks!
