Hello, i usually don't like watching anything unfinished, do i need to wait for part 2 to watch this? Is the end…
Hmm I think it depends on how much you latch onto certain plot points. For me personally, I thought it was satisfying enough as a season 1. There is definitely an unresolved overarching plot line that is meant to show that there is a lot of story left to tell, but the smaller plot points are all resolved before the end.
Part one was great and I really can't wait for part 2. (I was worried when there was a whole lot of story left and not enough episodes when getting towards the end but this is what I get for skipping the intros and not seeing "S1" so I can get to the story) I really hope the same cast can return together as I liked everyone's dynamic together.
The comedy was GOLD in this drama and balanced well with the more dramatic moments. I was crying a lot. Both from laughing to hard and the sadder parts. TBH I love Tian Xi Wei in everything I saw her in, but I couldn't get behind her character this time around and the romance was a bit lacking from both ML & FL for it being tagged as one. But other than that small quibble, this was a fantastic drama to start the year with.
There were many times where I had to skip over some of the family scenes. Not because the acting was bad or anything but because the family were just so aggravating and some of their antics reminded me of my own family which made my blood literally boil LOL.
Other than that I liked this a lot and wish there was a bit more as the ending was a bit too short for me to feel fully satisfied.
Definitely not the ending I wanted but it’s okay 😭 I will just imagine a concrete happy one. Overall I enjoyed watching the whole drama. Here’s to hoping for a special or an epilogue with unused scenes that were already filmed. I’ll take anything tbh.
I was looking forward to this drama for so long (since the cast was announced as I absolutely adored Li Hong Yi in his other projects & really liked Ri Ying in Ancient Detective ) but sadly, I'm not sure if I can continue with this.
I do like the action scenes, the leads are both visually stunning, and the acting isn't bad, but the way the FL character is written is quite frustrating.
I get she is naive and has amnesia, but with me being more than halfway through the series and her being the same, it's just too slow for me in the character development department. I want to see growth, not someone stuck in a loop. Maybe thats the point tho, and she is meant to be forever too nice as that's just her. In that case, this is just not my type of character and this drama isn't for me.
Side rant, but I despise the Prince Regent character. Anytime he's on screen it's like nails on a chalkboard for me. His character doesn't add much value other than being another annoying obstacle.
The first half of the drama was comedy GOLD. Comedy continues past the halfway point but it does noticeably decrease.
I didn't really notice June Wu in LBTI (even as SML), but he's super charming here! Like every scene I'm just like damn, he's so good looking LOL.
Like many other dramas, it unfortunately does drag towards the end and the end did make me feel like I missed something or something was cut out, but I still enjoyed it overall .
Oh how I really love a good, smart and strong female lead. I'm also glad how she doesn't suddenly become dumb/incapable either after getting with the ML. I enjoyed the supporting characters as well. The Li family were hilarious & adorable.
Only downside is the main plot story got draggy. If that was tightened up it would have definitely been perfect, cliches and all.
Ahhh nothing like getting more than what you expected from a drama. This was absolutely fantastic! Yes, there were weak story points around the antagonist but that definitely didn't stop me from binging all 24 episodes without sleep lol.
FLUFF everywhere! (And I don't just mean cat hair) (=^-ω-^=)
If you don't expect too much, its overall pretty enjoyable. As mentioned before, it could have definitely benefited from being a bit longer. With an interesting plot like this, 1 hour isn't enough to flesh out some details. Still a nice movie to watch in between tragic long-winded plots or over a meal you have nothing to watch while eating.
The extra scenes at the end made ROFL. Calling S.H.I.E.L.D because she thought she had super powers or the Sailor Moon bits were gold.
Usually I would finish a short drama like this in a day, but I kept pausing and re-winding parts because it was just SO FLUFFY AND CUTE~ so it took a bit longer XD
Perfect drama to watch if you just want the sweet scenes and something short.
Currently on episode 34, and honestly, I'm struggling to get through (and it's been that way for a while). I really enjoyed the ML in the storyline when he was younger, but once he became an adult, his character wasn't all that great. (The way he is written, not the acting,) I also don't like the FL character all that much either for the same reason; her character just rubs me the wrong way.
If it wasn't for the great fighting scenes and me being invested in seeing how the storyline pans out between all the sects, I probably would have dropped it by now.
This drama has been on my PTW since forever. (It took so long to actually air I actually forgot about it lol) But it must of been fate I finally watched it since now there are announcements around a season 2. Can't wait!

Wish it had more time to delve deeper into some of the mysteries it presented tho.

Lovely RomCom overall.

As for My Mowgli Boy, I watched it on Viki since it was available in my region~
