I’ve been dying to see Yeo Jin Goo and Kim Yoo Jung together in a drama now that they’re all grown up! I mean, they delivered so well when they were 9&11 year olds, as well as 13&15 year olds, JUST IMAGINE HOW WELL THEY’D DO NOW!
No, it's not. There are actually two versions of how the drama was edited. Kinda confusing but it honestly just boils down to which version had more cuts. I've seen both, and the main differences were just the removal of fillers scenes and repetitive flashbacks. But these differences would only start to become noticeable during the final 10 episodes or so, meaning episodes 1-45/50 would exactly be the same.
I think this might have happened because the editors wanted to change the edits after seeing lacking parts after the live broadcast/first airing, which is usually rushed which means there could be mistakes that might have slipped through. The second version might be the one posted on their official streaming sites after the drama finished airing instead of the first that could've had imperfections.

Honestly, the magic parts are just cringe worthy eugh. The part where Chen Lan actually learns it was actually her was so priceless! I fell for Xu Kai after that lmao

I actually saw worse CGI on other dramas, so I probably wasn’t bothered as much. The bad editing was something I only noticed after I took a break watching it. I was too whipped for the drama that I only noticed when I saw the reviews and such, but it was an ok drama for cast not so well known.

I actually think the same, especially when she had to look the same with Zhi Yan. Most of her scenes were taken by Zhi Yan even though it showed the versatility of the other actress. Her fight scenes were priceless, and it never failed to excite me (I was screaming in the room saying ‘YESSS, THAT’S MY B*TCH’). Bai Lu and Xu Kai’s chemistry is mostly what saved the audience from dropping the drama.
Zhao Yao from The Legends should be here too! Bai Lu is such talented actress even if she is quite new. Honestly a hidden gem that is getting the spotlight she deserved a long time ago!
I was scrolling through this list and I was surprised to see my Ha Ji Won. Empress Ki was one of those long dramas that young audiences wouldn’t bother to watch, but it completely showcases the versatile acting of my idol (yie). The build up of her character really brewed it to be so rich and complex, and is hard to find even with popular actors and actresses. As a Ha Ji Won fan, thank you.

I am not siding with Shen Yue here, just a side note. It’s just absurd that these fans of his are making absurd claims just to shield him, even to point of slandering the other party who almost wasn’t supposed to be involved in all of this. I commend her for keeping silent and calm throughout, and it paid off with the growth of her career.

Not only that, but that ‘girlfriend’ or girl that was exposing him apparently has a recording of Hu Yi Tian commenting about Shen Yue and how he found her ugly and her acting insufficient. He also comments about other topics, other cast members and the drama itself (not quite sure) and that took a big toll on his career. What’s sad is that his fangirls are still protecting him and are playing dumb when any evidence came out. They slander Shen Yue and how her role in the 2018 Meteor Garden Remake was apparently a flop. He took a year of rest to let things cool down on 2018, and that year was a year for Shen Yue’s career flourish. He now has upcoming dramas, and the public is not receiving it well, except for his patronising fangirls of course. There’s a lot more, believe me.
Anybody who can recommend me dramas of the same wavelength? Not so fast-paced but also not boring. I've watched…
Have you tried Put Your Head on My Shoulder? The main couple is really addicting to watch but beware, the kissing scenes are not worth it ???? There’s also A Love So Beautiful. I personally haven’t completely watched it (except for a few episodes and tiny peeks because of a dubbed version airing here in the Philippines) but I has gained quite the amount of fame with its quirkiness and romance despite the controversy/ies surrounding the main actor few month after it.

Being casted does not always mean the actor has the acting skills. Sometimes, their image, popularity and marketability is put front. I’m not hating on Hu Yi Tian, I honestly don’t even know him nor his works well. Just wanted to state some film industry facts.
