It is the drinking culture in korea that is generally extreme and as such it also translate into kdrama, alas.…
Drinking is not the issue, drinking to the point where you are completely wasted is the issue. The ML is rarely shown like that, If the ML was portrayed exactly the same way FL's are wrt drinking, then I would have problem with that too.
'Drinking responsibly' is a must and seeing dramas romanticizing piss drunk is not a good thing
Doesn’t look like you’ve caught up with the latest episodes or you read about the characters before starting…
watched the 6th episode. the drama is good, make no mistake on that.
Just disappointed that we are watching another FL in another Kdrama who gets pissed drunk and passes out. It seems to happen in each and every Kdrama now a days.
Unless you think I watched some other drama and in this one the FL does not get drunk and pass out. If so, do let me know.
this has love traingle which is the most boring type of drama....idk why people love this bs we have to watch…
These are just harems pretending to be love triangles. It is the standard template of having multiple hot men surrounding the FL, constantly touching and fondling her. Even though it's cheap, it sells. It's like watching really really soft porn with the men going topless now and then for viewers to drool.
Real love triangles are not annoying to watch. 'Don't dare to dream' is a Kdrama with a love triangle and it was a good drama to watch. There should be real heart-break in love triangles & the interactions should be meaningful and leave impact on viewers.
None of those 'CEO' types behave like an actual CEO.
Anyone who has interacted with senior management of any company would immediately know how incredibly people friendly they are. In fact to be in senior management, people skills need to be absolute top notch.
It's funny seeing professionals who need to have incredible people skills like CEO's, managers, actors, doctors, teachers etc etc are shown awkward.
and what is awkward is not the ML being a CEO. It's that these ML are barely recognizable as men. The most basic attributes of a man are hardly present in them. Seen a lot of Cdramas where FL and other female characters drool over hot guys but the ML shows zero sexual activity towards hot girls. Some one need to tell these writers that just like women, even men have sexual feelings.
Most Cdramas, especially the CEO genre ones the ML is pretty much fake. Any one who has interacted with a man would immediately tell you that those CEO's are as fake men as they come. It is as if those shows are written by 12 year old girls whose only knowledge of men comes from watching CEO dramas.
That's why it was surprising to see a ML who behaves like a regular guy rather than the usual stiff 'I have a stick up my bum' kind ML's from other Cdramas.
The way the ML is portrayed is simply superb. After watching male leads who are pretty much fake men in drama after drama this one is feels refreshing. This guy is a warm person, a bit of a dork, not the best looking guy, awkward at times and pretty stupid lot of times. The first girl who is kind to him, he falls for her. A very predictable guy thing.
Glad that romance is not central to the drama.
Wondering why this drama gets the ML as realistic as possible to a man where most Cdrama ML come across as fake men?!
Great first 12 episodes, last 4 episodes felt rushed, incoherent and confusing. They tried to pack too many things and that clearly affected these episodes.
ML and the bad guy carried the show. FL needs to go back to acting school. Watching her was cringy.
Thiugh my brain cannot comprehend anyone not liking Dylan's character here, ill agree to disagree with you. However,…
Fair enough.
To be honest, I dropped both of them early. It's not the story, its characters, I really had a hard time caring about them. They felt as if I have seen them in every other Xianxia.
L&D and ALP remain my top choices. AOL is a tire below, may be because it was one of the earlier ones I watched and it felt awesome. I loved Eternal Love on my first watch but on my second watch, it felt boring and could not remember why I liked it in first place.
your impression of CLJ is interesting, and just shows, there is no way, we humans have an objective perception…
Now a days I take a bit of time to start a Cdrama unlike Kdramas. the sheer number of episodes and the time we need to invest in Cdramas is way too high. Did not even start Galaxy, the story line was enough to tell how the characters will be and what their journey would be. Did start Samsara and dropped it just like this one after few episodes, the main drama set up felt repetitive.
Huge fan of Dylan Wang. Watched him in Ever Night. Absolutely loved his character and how Dylan portrayed it in that drama. His whole presence screamed I love this girl and I will go to any lengths to protect her. Even in this one, if not Dylan would have dropped it sooner.
Lol 'wake you up' term is solely up to you. Each individual don't have similar interest so you need to find yourself…
what has that got to do with viewers sharing their opinion? I understand the Cdrama makers will never change their tried and tested ML, FL and 2ML set up in these dramas ever. It looks to be what the majority audiences want and they seem to be giving them exactly that. but still, that has nothing to do with anyone wanting to share their opinion on any drama in a forum.
See the whole drama pls Because the interesting part starts from ep 9 It's not the same boring fl ml
It's not prejudice, it's my opinion after watching few episodes.
It is possible the story is exceptional. My not continuing this drama has little to do with the story but finding the 3 main characters repetitive and boring.
No, not watching any drama when i can't invest in the main characters. Agree on people having different tastes and interests. If you read my first post, you would find me saying that people who like this set up of main characters will love this drama.
Getting wasted can be very fatal for both men and women. It could be worse for women for obvious reasons.
These dramas tend to make light and comedic of a serious social issue is pretty damning.

This pretty much seems to be standard template in most Kdramas.
What gets me most is that each and every Kdrama, FL is an alcoholic.

Can some Kdrama producer make a full drama based on her character please.
last 4 episodes felt rushed, incoherent and confusing. They tried to pack too many things and that clearly affected these episodes.

The characters are likable, probably what sold the drama for me.

Ever night 2 was better on re-watch.

What is CLJ though?
do some meditation if you can't control the impulse to reply, that might help/
I get that this set up trope sells in these dramas. The producers want their money back and they will definitely make what sells.
My opinion still stands though.
