So true. In this drama FL keep drinking and blackout in random places.
Well, it was a hot guy who sexually assaulted her when she was drunk. Since the guy is very hot and rich, it is ok... At least thats what the drama is trying to tell us.
I have no issues with FL. Becos when I put myself in her shoes, I think I would behave worse than her. If a stranger…
If it was this FL doing it, it would still be ok but a lot of Asian dramas have this trope of FL hitting the ML...that then becomes a pattern.
And that is problematic since it means there is a conscious effort to have this particular trope in asian dramas and it is accepted without raising an eye-brow.
The writers could have shown the FL react in any numbers of ways but they physical violence as the way. Just think if asian dramas start showing ML slapping, punching and body slamming FL as funny....would we reach the same understanding way?

You do realize that from ML point the FL is a stranger in his home.
If he were to start thrashing her since she is a stranger in his home, we would be having a whole different conversation right now.
The physical violence continues even after she understands what is happening& so does the threat of violence. Worse, the drama makes it look as if she is entitled to commit that violence with the FL character showing little remorse at what she did.
the FL is getting markedly better in later episodes though.
This is a top tier drama, even better than Fox Volant, which I thought was superb.
the two male leads, Yes, there are two, not one, are superb. This was a riveting master-student dynamic. Wu Ming's character steals the show by smallest of margins from Ling Feng and it's all because of the actor who played the character. He was top notch. The FL adds a nice variable to the story. Initially thought she would be typical Cdrama whiny entitled girl but she was anything but that. Ling Feng needed the FL as much as he needed Wu Ming for him to grow.
The actor playing the ML seems to have hit the jackpot with this one and 'Love in time', which seems to be another top tier drama.
Somehow lost interest in this drama. It was not bad, in fact some episodes were good but somehow I did not find myself rushing to watch new episodes. May be too many Legal dramas running at the same time.
Another Cdrama CEO who can only touch the FL. Have they named this unique disease afflicting only Chinese CEO's yet? It looks pretty contagious from the looks of it.
usually 2ML and 2FL are there in the drama doing little and causing irritation. In this one 2FL is wonderfully written and has good impact on the characters and the story.
You really feel it when the inevitable happens. Now we know why he smiles so much.
Also in almost all the dramas it is shown women as clumsy, dirty and men are clean....well infact it's the other…
Oh dear, tell me about it.
the ML and 2ML look delicious. They are shown as though their farts smell of roses. The women, especially the FL are as you put it. Drunk as a sailor in a whole house, eat like pig, their place would be filthy, they would be shown as disheveled and dirty.
Reality is, leave a man alone in a house for a month and it would become a zoo.
Expecting realism from a drama, c´mon...Alcoholism in general is highly glamorized in dramas. Maybe there are…
take your point
but, these dramas are not showing drunk 'people'. These dramas only show drunk FL or women.
Like you said, it has potential to be dangerous, even life threatening, not just to self but for others as well. For women, it can get substantially worse.
To show only girls in these drunk situations is macabre. Just bit surprised that lot more people don't see it that way to call it out.
Or you end up in bed with an unbelievably handsome guy who turns out to be rich and powerful and needs you to…
Watching shit like that is not fun. Those drunk scenes do nothing for the story. They are fillers and nothing more. Me posting here will not change it, so don't worry. Since it seems popular the writers will keep writing this shit into dramas.

Almost every episode she is drunk out of her mind.

The misandry is glaring.
these dramas show the physical assault on the ML as cute and funny.
is it what really happens in Asia? Men getting beaten up regularly by their girlfriends and wives?
For some one who is a reporter, she has zero qualities of being one.
The story line and ML is keeping me in the drama.
It was not bad, in fact some episodes were good but somehow I did not find myself rushing to watch new episodes.

Fox Volant and now this.
Both ML and FL are very impressive with their acting.

If that is the case, these dramas are just telling these drunks that this is ok with no obvious risks or health concerns.
While dramas tend to exaggerate, the premise is coming from the ground reality that is being played out.
