Why would the same Kdrama that uses both the episodes to discuss FL's fiance not even mention ML's girlfriends or past girlfriends? It would take 1 minute to show ML breaking up with his past girlfriend...not even 1 minute.
If the drama can spend 2 episodes on FL's love life with other man, they surely can spend 1 min to talk about ML's love life. They don't becuase our 34 year old boy is a pure virgin who is just entering puberty. LOL, we don't even see ML having crush on any other woman, that's how pure the writers keep the Kdrama ML.

And if past relationships are NOT important, why is it that Kdramas only have FL's with past relationships and ML's don't?

Similarly, the drama if wanted to, can show ML having interactions with other women, just like FL has interactions with other men. It's called setting a character ark.
the drama takes time to se the FL background to a minute detail. the drama also sets the Pure Virgin ML's ark to a detail as well, it's just you refusing to acknowledge it.

We don't need to see ML having sex, if he indeed did have sex. All we need to see is ML walking out of women's houses early morning.
That would take 1 minute to establish ML's character.
If he dated any woman, all it takes is 30 seconds to show the woman and ML breaking up with her.
It's basic drama character establishment.

It's not like Kdrama romance industry does not know how to establish characters. They do it with FL, we see all her crushes, her boyfriends etc. Although we don't see her sex scenes with her boyfriend, it's implied with the way the drama establishing their long relation and other things in drama.

It would have taken 5 minutes out total of 8 hours drama time to establish ML's character but the drama does not show it.
Meaning, the ML does not have the kind of background you are implying. There is nothing in the drama that remotely suggests he even looked at a single other woman.

OTOH, the drama firmly established ML's undying, eternal love for the FL, through ML's own mouth.

If I wanted to watch 'hit the spot', i might as well pick any western romance and watch it instead.

Most ML's, especially in Kdrama romances are wimpy simps.
They have no back-story, no back bone, no dignity and lack iota of self-respect.
They are present to make FL feel better.

When watching these dramas you can easily see how it;s the FL's journey that matters and the ML is a support character in the journey of the FL.

The poor dwarfs work all day in mines and come home, the Modern Feminist Snow White hands brooms and utensils to the dwarfs who worked all day to do house chores.
