Aren't they relatives given that their mothers are cousins?
During historical times (before Ming/Qing Dynasty?) it was accepted to marry maternal cousins--even if their mom's are sisters. Let alone QF and QM were 1st cousins, making their children 2nd cousins, so its even another level removed.
Would totally have been possible during that time for them to marry as they didn't carry the same blood line/clan. QM may consider herself to always be a Qiao clan, but she really is considered the Wei Matriarch and her children will always be only Wei clan.
Another example: WY isn't by "law" considered part of the Wei clan and was never even considered next in line after WS--it would have been acceptable for WS and WY's future children to marry too. In many historical drama's the Queen and /or concubines are often maternal relatives of the King.
I'm just extremely thankful to be born way after those dynasty's. LOL
If I didn't look them up I would have no idea about the big age gap. WXY really carries himself well in this role.…
Totally get what you mean. Xu Kai has a baby face so it's hard when they pair him with mature looking women who really don't look much younger than their actual age. He was good in Yanxi Palace and was when I started to notice him.
I see ppl very concerned about the gap of age between WJY and WXY. I simply sublimed this because the most notable…

Great actor beyond his years being able to carry himself that way. I was hoping WXY would get a drama with Bai Lu and where he actually gets the girl! lol
Also WJY is doing excellent in her role like you mentioned. Aside from Yanxi Palace, I haven't enjoyed any of her other dramas until now.
If they ask those questions. Most of them would have to face their guilt for abandoning her to her death. Don't…
True to some degree. I definitely feel so sad for the real JL and wish she herself got to experience some kind of love and redemption while she was alive. However, if it was the real JL who came back the story would have gone very different. Ye family might've never forgiven her or treated her the same if they ended up being coerced by the bad guys. And worse, the real JL might've been killed/plotted against her step mother before even making it back to Luyang.
So many "what ifs" but one thing is for certain, she didn't have the same backbone and smarts as XFF to survive the events XFF did so the story wold have been way different.
In my perfect world the real JL would have hidden away somewhere and Tong'er left to be with her and they show up at the end for an epic showdown.
I'm confused in ep one who actually killed her?? Is it the Duke or is it her actual husband
Her husband! Shocked about the mistaken identity--there is no comparison for SYR and the beautiful Duke. LOL
There is a scene in the first ep @2:07 that someone is saying "A Li" to get her to her senses, and it sounds just like how the Duke says her name when he wants her to focus. Probably the only odd thing I can't figure out even rewatching the series 3X to kill my boredom while waiting for next episodes.
I should never have started the drama until it was fully released 😑

Stay optimistic. I’m sure it’s HE but it might be rushed. What I don’t know if they get married before after…
Looks like they got married before the war?!
Her hair is up in the previews, and if following history, this happens at the coming of age ceremony to symbolize adulthood and the right to get married. Then finally it stays put up after you get married.
If I remember correctly, in this drama, I think all the married women have their hair up...
I think she’s indulging herself in this “one sided love” feeling, which was the feeling she has toward him…
There is a scene she was thinking back to 1st first life and basically when she snaps back into her current reality she is afraid if she doesn't let go and holds onto him like in the 1st life the ending result would be the same. She doesn't want history to repeat itself so she is choosing to let go. Trailer for following episodes allude to this as well.
if you have vip, try going on a laptop and login on the website to see if you are able to access through there.…
not sure, i logged on iq.com today and it shows the lock but I was able to access all the episodes until 40. didn't have to pay for fast track or anything
I have to wait till later to watch😫 It looks like there is nothing until next Tuesday after ep 34
if you have vip, try going on a laptop and login on the website to see if you are able to access through there. my app was also giving issues but i was able to watch directly on the web.

Does TSJ know he's not the baby daddy when they found out FFYY was pregnant? or maybe after she gave birth? I…
TSJ believes it's his because he was drugged and "slept" with her. As of now, no one suspects FFYY is with TSH. Based on the novel, this will be found out later when part 2 comes out.
