People learn how to treat others and how to let others treat them from fiction more often than people like to admit and any mature, well-adjusted person who's been in a halfway decent relationship in real life should find this more uncomfortable than cute. after making a big deal of the barely missed connections and shared vision when thanu and phai touched for the first time, they added on "oh, by the way, thanu and wayu actually met A LONG TIME AGO when wayu was in high school and have a special connection as well, pha isn't even as special to wayu as thanu is!!!" and it felt more like a desperate attempt to justify dropping thanuphai than a juicy twist to me. i do not care about wayu, so it was frustrating

i obviously can't speak for everyone, but for me: the reveal about their past felt sudden and forced to me after the slow buildup of thanuphai , which i was actually looking forward to the payoff for. also wayu's plots took up time i wanted to spend with markkit or even poktong or jewyuki. i like the actors just fine, but wayu and thanuwayu were the least satisfying parts of the series for me and it looks like they're going to get even MORE focus than before that i find that unappealing.
