Thankfully when I was on a cdrama binge, I didn't watch any dramas with her. She's so unappealing, even now knowing what she's done she's vile. Canadian my ass.

Title Squid Game Season 3 Spoiler
I don't know if the ending was fitting. Sure, it's grim to reflect our very grim world. The bad people will always get away, there's always greed, the rich and powerful look down on us poor people. I get it. I just wish the writing left room for more hope.

- It annoyed me Kang No Eul kept squirming about in the soldiers quarters doing who knows what. She sabotages the organ farming, making me think she was someone undercover to bring down the system but she gets out saving one man. So much work for one man. I get it, he's a father of a sick girl that made her job feel less shitty. Felt like there was more to be HAD with her character.
- Why didn't the detective (Hwang Jun Ho) do so much more than dance around the outside? So many of his men killed, and for what? To whine and cry as his brother plays Dad gets Milk? He clearly saw A LOT in the first season. Why didn't he do more this time? There were legit bodies on the ground but he rather yell at his hyung. That's not the character's fault, it's the writer for making such a bad timing. He could've ran into No Eul and had some alliance.
- Gihoon's legacy is down the drain. I didn't expect him to survive but why couldn't that have been the start of exposing the Squid Game system? It felt like everything was for naught once more. I love a good martyr. Such wasted potential.

Just my two cents.

First of the entire season got me like annoyed?? not even angry in an immersive way but like mad to the point…
I am not too annoyed at western actors in kdramas. I just hate the way they talk in it. Nobody speaks like that.

Why k drams has always pathetic endings.
It's grim as real life. Baddies get away with everything.

I knew that they will make this “international thing” . There’s no way of bringing this down. Nothing will…
I was hoping they'd make him a martyr but his legacy is not there. Plus the brother cop (Hwang Jun Ho) barely did anything but yell at his brother. :/ Does he even know the money with the baby is blood money? Ugh.

I've seen a lot of people watch and enjoy this drama after Love Game in Western Fantasy so I gave it a try. But... I'm sorry but I felt so bored through many parts of the story. 😔 I enjoyed the fluffy moments though. It's good to skip if you're someone like me who mostly enjoys fantasy/historical themes.
On Lovely Runner Jan 12, 2025
Finally! Finished! I think my final thoughts is that Lovely Runner is an enjoyable drama for people who can appreciate the theme of second chances and time travel. They surprisingly have amazing songs for a plot centered around a singer main character. But there were a lot of things where I wish were different.
- Turning the ML's death reason from suicide to homicide changes the narrative the drama could've had. This drama first appealed to me on the basis of rewinding time to save a loved from choosing to take their life. It would've been bittersweet if the ML still suffered from depression/suicidal thoughts but FL and friends could help him discover reasons to live for esp when suicide by men is less talked about. But I could understand that originally ML wasn't the type of person to take his life currently, but with more adjustment to his character, it would've been possible. He's a little bit of a gary stue but still enjoyed his dorky moments whenever he wasn't playing it cool.
- FL uses her time powers of dishing out spoilers of the future to run away from ML's dad when she was sneaking around his house. Why didn't she keep using this power with the kidnapper? It only comes out on comedic timing and it would've kept her out of misfortunes. It was an overlooked power when her whole agenda is not get killed and not have ML get killed.
- I don't like the ML's dad making decisions all by himself. It's such an asian parent thing but in the plot it was so redundant when ML ended up staying in Korea and missed the audition his friends' staked their livelihoods on, and still ended up in the band still. LOL.
- I can see how FL is annoying but it wasn't that annoying to me. I just hated how she didn't make use of her power enough. I feel like dramaverse should've established a rule where her spoiler time freeze couldn't be used anymore. And how the universe didn't stop Sunjae from finding out about her singing Sonaki.

Like many romcom dramas, they don't have rewatchability. This one includes that. But the fluffy moments were so cute that I think anyone could enjoy this drama at least ONCE and overlook the plot flaws. It's also baffling where there's fans of many other dramas come here to bash this drama. I mean, get a hobby??????? These actors have moved on to pursue and act in dramas that's better than this one and your favs. If you can't objectively leave criticisms about these things, you should rethink on how you live with yourself. At least this drama is more interesting than Crash Landing On You.

On When the Phone Rings Jan 8, 2025
Politics aside, I watched this drama for CSB and loved seeing her on a mellow side when I've always known her for more happy roles. But I think this drama doesn't live up to it's score. It's hard to discern character relationships and dynamics. It's only until the climax of the drama that I realize who's a mom, who's the dad, who's son is which. I still don't even know how the male lead was even conceived. It's like he just spawned in. They harp about these rich political families and racing for president but they don't try to pit WHY they are so great. A lot of world building and building the relationships of the sub characters are forgotten. Why is the birth of the antagonist's revenge hinged on the fact a frail old man playing apple bobbing with a kid's head? The kid could've swam away or drowned the old man himself. LMAO. Why do all the kidnapping scenes look goofy and cringe? A lot of these scenes don't make sense and I feel like these characters only ever act like this because the higher power forced them to act as such, hence, the author/writer's will. All I really enjoyed is Ina and Heejoo's sisterly relationship and Ina being smug at that one party.

Gosh, just started but the first episode is already so good. I love that the stunts remind me a bit of Baby Driver/Kingsman. It's got the Batman Vigilante Justice but more relatable because there's no rich white man on the focus of the story. Through Stephanie Soo/Rotten Mango, she talks about a lot of Korean cases which can be quite grim so I can feel that maybe the writer of the drama wanted to draw in real life crimes but pursue a way of justice when the system fails the people. It feels therapeutic. I love with stories have a dream team of different people working together towards a bigger goal.
