This is worrying, dramas like these heavily rely on harnesses and wireworks, yet the crew seems to have no idea what they are doing. Today was fortunate because they were mostly stationary, but for full on battle scenes, you would expect much more movement, meaning that you would use the harness and wires a lot.
I hope that the choreographers are good, and that it wouldn't be rushed, because for scenes like these, all actors (even extras and supporting roles) would need proper training and practise, especially if it's with a large group of people (which in this case, we would assume it would be) 一I do hope that the team in Gansu are already preparing.
I don't know how the battle scenes would be filmed though, will they use real horses (poor horse, I hope it was fine)? If yes, then I'm assuming it would mostly be for extras who would have long range combat scenes with professionals helping; or it could just be used for shorter scenes, because fight scenes on a live animal is way too dangerous, even if you're wearing a harness and protection.
Hopefully the people helping with the wires when they switch locations would be switched, and the new people would have more experience, and are more consistent. Battle scenes are much more dangerous, one little mishap could end up putting everyone in danger.

Really excited for this, hopefully he will get a few days to rest before resuming filming (though it's unlikely). The wireworks injury is very worrying, but the bigger issue is the lack of professionalism and care/awareness the crew seem to have. Filming in such a cramped space with so many people with a live, moving animal and all sorts of dangerous wiring and harnesses is a recipe for disaster, it would've been a miracle if nobody was hurt. I'm grateful that it was only a scratch and it was treated properly, because it would've been much worse if he had crashed into someone in the crowd or on the equiptments. The crew should really pay more attention to stuff like this, because people have gotten serious injuries from similar situations.
He said that if he were to be given an extra 2 hours to do anything he wants, he would sleep, even if it meant sleeping while standing 😭. He must've been so tired, he had to commute from Hengdian to Shanghai, and there must've been a lot of work behind the scenes as well since the interview video came out hours before the event, not to mention he still needed to prepare for next day of filming, and filming for so long without a proper break must've taken a lot from him.
The interviewer asked him whether or not he could spoil for us the work that he was preparing for and he said Love in the Clouds, but he only mentioned the drama name without elaborating on what 😭😖 Lets not get our hopes up too high, but this could mean that he's filming promotional material, or that at least something will be happening with Love in the Clouds.

I'm not 100 percent sure so correct me if I'm wrong, but I remember reading somewhere that every major network (eg, Youku, iQiYi...) now has a policy where the maximum amount of episodes allowed for any drama is under 30, or somewhere in that category.
Most dramas from only a couple years ago have around 30 to 40 episodes (most have more than 30), however recent dramas do seem to be getting less and less episodes, such as Que Gu, which as of right now only has 24 episodes.
