I've lost track of the number of ship breakups within the last year and a half and I've only been watching BL/Asian dramas for just over two years now :((
yall talking about Ohmfluke, but im over here wondering what happened to MarcPoom. I genuinely loved them in We Are and perfect 10 liners, and was hoping they'd get their own series or some larger roles.
For people trying to figure out if they should watch it or not and reading through the comments: know that there are probably going to be three possible outcomes. 1. You hate it. 2. You love it. or, 3. You don't feel one way or the other about it. Im number three because it wasn't horrible, but it wasn't a masterpiece either, it was just another drama that's added to the "completed" list, and I'll probably not rewatch anytime soon.
Ah, yet another series to be added to my guilty pleasure list. Overall story was trash, and the cringe was astronomical, but Boat and Oat are cute together, and i hope they act together again in another series that's not a trashy-cringy office romance.
No, at least that's what we are to assume because they have not made anything official. Its a possibility but its not for us to speculate, nor is it ok to make them feel pressured to date each other or announce that they are together.
im to lazy to write an actual review so here are my thoughts on this series that absolutely NO ONE asked for :) :
In short, the show was not completely worth all the hype it received. The acting was choppy and awkward beside Banky, Anda, and Lookkaew's acting. The story was different from most of the bls I've watched, so points for that, but the plot made this fall flat, so points taken off for that. The side couple(s) felt more real than the main couple (which baffles me cuz Banky and Mos are together?), especially the lesbian side couple. They almost carried this whole show entirely. Overall, the show was not horrible, but it was certainly not good either. It is a high-key letdown, especially for the hype it received and a very big letdown with the leads of the show (I like Banky and Mos but there is just something about the way they act together on screen that feels forced and fake vs. when they are themselves irl, it flows easily).
Oh, and for some of the comments saying that Banky is "to Femenin" in this series: No one forced you to watch this series, nor are you being forced to dress like Banky in the show. How he dresses is between himself and whoever his stylist is (cuz DAUM they are really eating with his fits). Also, complained that he looked too feminine DURING AND NC SCENE is not a cool thing to say. Y'all are the ones who give BL a bad name for being fetish content for straight girls. if you wanna see two men going at it, there is plenty of it to see on *other* websites.

I think that Banky and Mos are the only reasons why Sunset X vibes got the attention that it did. They are one of the more popular ships within the BL world, especially because they are dating, so it felt like that series was just one long fanservice (no hate to them, i really do like them i just wish i could see them in an actually good series). Its often the case that the second leads and second couples tend to be more popular OR hated the most, especially with gl side couples, which is gross and wrong. These are the same people who complain about men getting off to lesbian corn and then turning around and watching these shows and hating on all the other couples that aren't explicitly bl couples.
i don't think i've really ever cried a whole lot when watching a K-BL or bl in general but this one made me cry my eyes out at 2 am, especially eps 5 and 6. Huge second-lead syndrome but the first leads are great to, I just wish that the second couple could have gotten more closure or a bit more development and back story. they did a really great job acting and conveying their emotions.
It was lowkey disappointing, i would have liked a more character-focused special ep rather than a slightly rushed action-cop work ordeal, it was one of the weakest parts of the series I felt and it just feel the same here, rushed and over-dramatized. i feel like this was the perfect time to dive into the characters but they missed the chance :(
