I was watching this every week as it was airing and it was one of the dramas i looked forward to the most in 2021.…
i know its not directly stated but a lot of it is inferred: woong never tells her that he loves her in those 5 years, she keeps asking those “what if” questions because shes insecure about what exactly she is to him, and on top of that everything in her life becomes too overwhelming and she feels so broken that she actually believes he’s better off without her because then her misery cant taint him. She then spends those 5 years inbetween working, paying off the debt, neglegting her self as a person to be able to go about her day to day. i always understood it as her meeting woong again as her finally having to confront what she spent all those years trying to not think about and burying. Thats why she can get back together with him, because she finally understands that she never moved on. Thats how i understood the plot anyway.
