I just finished this OH MY GOD, this was so good. Worth the wait and binge-worthy..... Just beautiful. Someone please who plays the role of JOHN NAA.....!!!
Ryu Shi Oh I love you and will miss you. I am sorry everything had to end like this. In case you guys missed it: 1st betrayal by his Birth Parents 2nd betrayed by the woman he loved 3rd betrayed by that one friend he had been waiting for years. and to top all of that Ry shi oh had tracked down his biological father and opened a stationary shop for him despite being abandoned by him.... All those who say we feel towards the villain is only because he is handsome are wrong because I have watched 160 K dramas and some of them have the most handsome villains but I have never felt anything for them or rooted for them but Ryu Shi Oh yes he is attractive but that got me attracted to him as a real-life person and I already knew him since modulove, and 20th-century girl. But his entire character development, dialogues and backstory got me into his character. I don't want to defend him saying he was a good person and all but at least he was being true to himself, namsoon and his clients cause he only sold those drugs to them because they are wealthy and wanted it. I am heartbroken at the ending but at the same time glad that Ryu Shio Oh did not let anyone kill him but himself. Man was already too broken to fight like imagine you wait for someone or something for years and years and once they come they want to kill you like dude That has gotta hurt even god. I am so mad at the writers for such a loophole-filled drama and unnecessary character storylines. And namsoon becomes a police officer without any exams like ok she solved a huge case but dude that's not how you become anything in any profession. The mother still is egoistic and overly confident, The grandmother had a tiny character development but nothing that anyone would care about. So basically a waste of time with forced humor . WATCHED IT ONLY FOR RYU SHI OH AND BEON WOO SEOK man literally carried the show.
Now the only reason I watch this drama is for Beon Woo Seok I mean he is carrying the entire drama. I forward most of the scenes since they are so predictable and unnecessary. Sorry, but I was looking forward to ML and FL but now I don't care about the romantic angle I want to see how Ryu Shi Oh and Namsoon's story takes turns in terms of the entire facade on the drug shit cause I feel like they could have ended the drama in 12 ep. Also, I was surprised about the first kiss that ML and Fl shared because it felt so sudden I mean like there was no build to their story cause namsoon knows more about Shi Oh than Hee Sik and they have much less screen time given the fact that they are the main couple and their love feels forced (idk). We get the back story about the mother's marriage and divorce stuff and also the grandma-like love story build but the ML and FL are like (boom kiss). I wish they had put more depth into Heesik's character and his feelings for namsoon. The thing I love about the drama is the back story of Ryu Shi Oh and also the feelings he conveyed to Namsoon. I think Namsoon has to realise that Shi Oh actually meant a few things and give a genuine thought to the case accordingly I mean I see Hee Sik watching the secret cam footage only when he is jealous and it sounds so unserious given the fact that this a drug investigation. I also wanted the police officers' reaction to Shi Oh's backstory since then they would know where he comes from and why he is like what he is but they are ranting about how handsome he is (like bro really). I feel like the police officers are not doing much for this investigation and the mother is just ruining the entire thing by simply instigating like letting one person work. It's like everybody is doing something and only the mother has everything planned and police officers are just getting all the information from her and namsoon also hasn't got anything except the puffer jacket, so overall I find it too messy. Anyway, I was going to write something short but the flaws made me write more. I will just finish this drama for the sake of the villain nobody else.
Am I the only one who ships Ryu Shi O with Namsoon more than Heesik? Cause damn the tension between them got me dying. The way Ryu Shi O looks at her got me giggling and I have a feeling he will fall for her but still be the villain GOD!!!! Their Moments in Ep 7 ughhhh... I repeated their scenes. WOW He has stronger chemistry with Namsoon than the ML, can we have an alternate story of Shi O falling for her and turning into a good person (delulu).
