I would say it was an entertaining watch, if the cringe scenes of him as a vampire can be ignored. The plot was also not bad. The highlight was the chemistry between Joss and Gawin, really a good couple.
Cute romance, not much angst and the ml and mc really look good together. The plot is nothing complicated, quite simple, althought i personally felt it was a little rushed since they boxed everything within 30 mins and 8 eps.
And also the chemistry between them was soo good especially the intimate scenes were done so well, very few kbls have this and i really appreciate them handling this well.
A simple no hassle kbl that can be completed in one sitting.
idk why but after watching this i started rooting more for kijima and kuzumi. kido and kijima had such a toxic relationship it was really painful at times. and contrary to what anybody says, i personally feel kido is a selfish lustful jerk who wants the cake and eat it too. im glad kijima put his foot down in the end before that kiss and finally got back to kuzumi. yes definitely both still have a deep bond, but kijima is i guess still salty about it by the way he goes on during th sequels. and during playback the movie i feel kijima finally realises his love for kuzumi and maybe puts kido's chapter to rest.
i can see why this potentially is a hit or miss for people, but having said that, personally this is one of my most favourite series. as mentioned very rightly by people, this is not a fluffy romance, rather this is more towards a darker side of life in general which is shown to its rawest sense.
the characters in the series especially that of rio kijima would be quite confusing in the beginning, even towards the end when everything presumably turns out okay, it would still leave you with the enigma of the character rio kijima and for that it is important to watch mood indigo series. after watching all of the 'pornographer' parts it is actually this rio kijima who is the most pitiful of all, and his behaviour in the first series can be definitely accounted for whatever he's suffered in the past. but i really loved the way they tackled the relationship between haruhiko and kijima, their relationship is raw, slightly toxic (yes, slightly) and even certain parts tragic but at the end of the day they make it work very well for themselves. their relationship is like as the saying goes, one fell first but the other fell harder.
i usually don't rewatch series but i've really lost count of the many times i've rewatched this, for its excellent plot, beautiful cinematography, realistic acting and a [perfect blend of steamy + heart wrenching scenes. really a 10/10 for me.
unexpectedly i quite liked this....the visuals, acting and plot was really top notch. it was really a delight that this has the same author and director as pornographer, one of my favourite series out there. really nicely done.
i was so excited to watch this because the novel was so good and this series definitely didn't disappoint me. there was so much bromance that actually the lack of it being bl didn't bother me much because the plot was so engaging. usually i have a very low attention span, but i actually binged watched this.
will definitely rewatch this, i just cannot over the series!
Season 2: Okay, could be better
Season 3: Meh
THE BEST SERIES EVER. Nothing will top this, nothing at all.
I have watched it at least 10 times now. And its coming from a person who is very very picky in whatever they watch.
