Its an intelligent drama. I am extremely reluctant to watch chinese historical drams because of all the flying, I just cant take it seriously. But then this came along, and completely swept me off my feet.
I found no characters to be boring, all had intriguing backstories and they all interacted with eachother in an interesting way.
Absolutely loved it, this will be one of my favourites for a long time to come.

The reason he developed motion sickness was because when he was younger his beloved stepmother came looking for him. After they finally made up and decided to go back, she died while sitting with him on the bus. Surely this would lead to a psychological trauma, which in his case was Motion sickness.
Actually when you think about it, it's really logical he would get nasuseas whenever remembering that event.
