I still remember watching season 1 and it was so good, the scene in ep 1 with the "thing" appearing is such a badass scene. Or no, the whole drama is badass. They should have ended it with an open ending and skipping season 2 and 3. They sucked ass.
You who have followed his dramas the last few years, must know that you sadly cant trust this writer/director anymore. I hope he didn't make the story too convoluted and just keep it straight (and good). Just some good action and many intense scenes is what I want! I hope he can remember why Train To Busan became such a big hit!
Starts strong and feels super realistic/intense in ep 1, but then drags on and they focus way too much on the lawyers's foot fungus. Ok that it maybe has a metaphorical meaning to the plot but still too many long disgusting scenes. I was like wtf after a while..? Also its the typical stuff with corrupted prosecutors etc that we have seen a thousand times.
This series is ultimately very mediocre, I would say around a 5/10 or 6/10 if you want to be kind. There are many better mystery/thriller series out there. Not worth your time.
I would like to see it as: first 8 eps a masterpiece (season 1) - last 8 eps (season 2) a boring dragged out political thriller about corruption. I wish they would have only focused on what happened in the first eps and cleared up everything in maybe 1 extra hour. The last half really drags down the overall rating. This is what happens when the writer has plot for 8-10 eps but is forced by the company to make it into 16 eps. I am happy they switched from the strict 1-16 or 1-20eps format recently and they make it as long as they feel is needed (6, eps, 8, 12 etc).
I sometimes come back to it and only rewatch 1-8. Such a masterpiece. The main serial killer mystery and all the mindblowing plot twists in the beginning etc... ah easily 10/10!
Such an overrated drama, it only has a high rating because of the ML and FL. If they were other not very popular actors this would sit at like 6.9 on MDL. It is just SOOO boring. Almost zero suspense being a zombie series, there are maybe 2-3 "intense" scenes in the whole drama. Instead of what we wanted... we get a bunch of EXTREMELY irritating characters and filler, filler and more filler. These 12 eps could literally have been packed into 2 eps or a 90 min movie. Not exaggerating.
