Sorry I just have to post this. Do all the original manhwa readers & haters know that the creators of t were involved in making this, giving advice etc? lol
Its not as bad as people write, its the typical "the original comic is better"-butthurt people who have destroyed the rating. The cast is awesome, action and vfx are excellent. I would easily give it an 8/10 right now just after watching. RECOMMENDED!
if you didnt understand why her personality became like that..
If you have watched 12 eps, just finish it buddy. Eun Jung and Sang Yeon are having an inferiority complex battle towards eachother. I did not mean to sound rude to you. Well please finish it =)
I just want to write one more message because I watched it again and I feel I will remember this drama for many many years. I am SO impressed by the way the writer and director managed to plan and put together this beautiful drama for us. At a first glance it doesn't sound like the most interesting story and with other people in charge it could have been so boring and a flop - but they use all the 16 eps flawlessly with a beautiful and gentle storytelling that pulls you in like nothing else. Me and my GF easily drop dramas recently if they don't hook us fast (yeah, attention span has gotten shorter from all damn social media, I admit...). But after 2 or 3 eps we coulnd't stop watching. We are also extremely sensitive to filler and there is not a wasted scene, more or less every scene brings the story or the characters forward in some way (I checked this during the rewatch). And we shouldnt forget the wonderful ost and cinematography. This drama is also filmed like a movie like so many kdramas are recently - with so many warm colors and often with a cosy nostalgic feeling to it. The cinematographer of this drama (Sanhak?) did an amazing work.
But not only the cinematography, this drama in general had a very nostalgic feeling and made you feel nostalgic. For example I remembered some great friendships... that are all gone now. My GF also said similar things.
From somewhere around the second half starts I was so into it that one episode started to feel like 10 min and I didn't want it to end. While watching i often saw my gf take tissues even if it wasn't supposed to be a really super sad scene. And I admit I took tissues too... I have never watched a dama like this before - it doesn't even really try to make you cry, but you are close so often. Much is also of course thanks to all the actors, especially Kim Go Eun, give her an Emmy right away! Well... the story, the gentless of how its told, how the small twists are delivered, the nostalgic vibes, how touching it is, the acting, the ost, the cinematography - Just such a beautiful GEM of a series. This drama deserves a standing ovation.
I read some of the comments in here and many questions people ask are are answered if you watch the drama, like "why is Sanyeon so terrible?", well it is portrayed pretty clearly why she became the person she became. And people who write hate-comments without obviously having watched it and other stuff that just are meant to troll/trigger people who liked it (yes you can dislike it its all fine, I don't mean you - I mean other stupid kids). Just ugh, It reminded me of why you should never read comments on sites like this that aren't properly and strictly moderated.
Well back to the good feelings - At last - am I the only one who just wanted to go and hug Sang Hak (Kim Gun Woo) like all the time in the second half? He looked like a sad little dog all the time, in a good meaning, such a good performance😭😭😭
If you are wondering to WATCH OR NOT- trust me this is a really solid watch. I have been watching kdramas for a looong time and would really recommend this. The action scenes could be taken from a big budget action movie, very stylish and badass. Watch! Don't let anyone in here scare you away.
How come the whole conversation became about something that happened years ago? Why is no one talking about who…
No one is forced to commit suicide. She didn't do it at gunpoint. If people who don't feel they are the mentally strongest just could stay off social media and 9.5 out of 10 problems would be solved instantly. Just my 2 cents. At last its tiring to read about this news, also its obvious that the netizens and k-media want to drive KSH into committing suicide as well. Then they will feel happy. South Korea is a dark dark extremely dark place, and this comes from someone who lived there for 27 years.
An absolute masterpiece. Only a few eps in you are already there - when you feel you can cry or burst out in tears any second. Just what a production, every single aspect is a 10/10. The writer and director are geniuses. Also the cinematography is so good, so beautiful and often cosy. One of those you wish you could erase your memories and watch it again.

One if not the best drama of the year, a true masterpiece told in a masterful way by a genius director and writer.
