mid level drama
the drama started off quite slow for me, only picking up about episode 7, though past that point it felt as though conflict was being created for the sake of it. there were about 5 different antagonists following one episode to the next..it felt like there was no real story so they were cramming in a bunch of mini ones.is it a love story? is it an office drama? is it an antifan drama? it it about the lost of a friend? is it about a stalker? it is about the strained relationship between mother and son? so many things going on!
I didn't mind the main characters, they seemed to have okay chemistry, but they were outshone by the 2 young actors (who got married in the end). Aside from that, the other characters felt unnecessary and used just to fill the time... no real substance or chemistry.
there were some laugh-out-loud moments though... wish it stuck to the comedy piece a little more, as I think it would have been a better watch
All in all, it was just okay. I don't like to rate unless I've watched it all, but this took me a month to get through and I watched a few dramas in between, so that should say enough.

Overrated Snoozefest
**I'm not here to debate, this is just my opinion,.so you can argue with the wall***I was very excited for this given all the hype, but in the end I really had to force myself to finish it just to give an honest review..I hated it. the first 4 episodes were okay but after that it became a hard watch. I felt there was Zero chemistry between the leads and the storyline became mediocre with unnecessary dramatics. Also the end felt quite rushed but in the same vain I was glad to get it over with. the 2nd leads were better but nothing to scream about....overrated/overhyped imo

started out great but then.... zzz
I was really excited for this but what a let down.. the story started off so strong and interesting, but about midway, there was no real storyline. the chemistry between the leads was lukewarm at best, I actually found myself bored of the main characters and routing for the second lead couple.the comedy was cringe in places and towards the end it became a hard watch.the drunk scenes were OVERDONE, and the acting was mediocre.
unfortunately, this drama peaked way too early, so it was only downhill from there. should have been 8 episodes.

the best! ❤️
people seem to either love it or hate it but I definitely sit in the first group. it's sooooo refreshing to watch a nice and simple love story with no dramatic/unnecessary hiccups and the CHEMISTRY between the leads.... my word, I've not seen anything like it!! the supporting characters were also so well cast I found myself interested in everyone's story, the grandmother and secretary were especially hilarious. a show that's definitely on the rewatch list and I hope to see Junho and Yoona in another project soon. thanks for the laughs and the love ❤️Was this review helpful to you?

Editing a Mess, Wigs a Bigger Mess
the story itself isn't terrible, but the execution is a mess... the editing feels rookie, the structure is all over the place, and there are wayyyy too many random characters for such a short show. it legit feels like i got dropped straight into season 3 with zero buildup or character development...how am i supposed to care about anyone?im on episode 6 and will finish it (it's not bad enough to drop), but what a wasted opportunity...
side note: Park Hyung Sik saved this for me, he fits his character well (and is also not too bad on the eyes😋). I think hes story alone would have worked better.... but I doubt we're getting a spin off now 😫
side side note: i really cant get over the wigs! awfullIII... do better lol

Netflix needs to be held accountable for this mess
As I was watching this, I just found myself getting more and more disappointed as the episodes went on. First off, we were so invested in the characters and the storyline, and the ending felt like a complete slap in the face. By episode 3, I was already watching at 2x speed.
By the end, I was sitting there thinking, “Who are half of these people?” So many new faces got thrown in, and we were left with a bunch of characters I don’t even remember seeing before. It completely took the impact away from the people we actually cared about.
It was not the ending I wanted, but probably was quite realistic — but that’s not the issue. The problem is, this whole thing felt like a money grab from Netflix.
This show could’ve ended with grace in season 1. It was powerful, it had impact, and it left a mark. But of course, after its success, they saw dollar signs and gave us ‘2’ unnecessary seasons that dragged everything down.
We don’t need everything to be Americanised. We don’t need 523 seasons. Sometimes a story is better when it knows when to end. What a shambles.
And the non-Korean ‘VIP’ actors were insanely bad! Did they pick them off the street?!

confusion
im really confused by this dramas low ratings. I expected to drop it after reading the reviews but I'm on episode 14 and really enjoying it. the storyline, the chemistry, i find it very engaging. my only guess is that since this was JCW's comeback (after military discharge) perhaps there were higher expectations than usual, and people expected an extraordinary drama??I guess not all dramas are for everyone, but I suggest you watch it for yourself and come to your own conclusion. In my opinion this is rated too low compared to some of the other dramas out there...

went from high to lowwww
I enjoyed the first few episodes and the story seemed promising and different, but I quickly got bored.I don't think I've ever watched a drama with so many filler scenes (scenes that add nothing to the overall story), alot of talking about nothing and mediocre character building
I didn't feel much chemistry between the Leads so it was hard to root for them. And don't get me started on the 2nd lead story - at a point I disliked all 3 of them.
Whilst this is meant to be a heartfelt story I feel it severely missed the boat.
Maybe would have been great if it was 8-12 episodes.
overall it was a snooze, but I pushed through so I could give a fair review.
some people seem to like it though, so this is just my opinion. :)
