I am really impressed at how well GXT portrays Ban Hua. I've only watched her in Untouchable Lovers finished the whole drama rating her acting okay/neutral, I liked her acting better on her small role in Ban Shu and I just couldn't get past few episodes of Aurora found it boring. I admit I was among the skeptics when I saw her cast as the lead here. Acting-wise I didn't hate but I wasn't thrilled. What I don't get are haters on her looks because to me she is pretty and elegant. Anyway that was before this drama aired, now I enjoy watching her as Ban Hua and very satisfied so I'm not thinking of other actresses who would be better at this role. Maybe many of the previous skeptics (like me) feel positive now about her acting. I look forward to her future projects.

I really feel bad for the heartbreak coming to Shi Jin but in fairness to Ban Hua, she did not intentionally give Shi Jin hope nor plotted his accident. She was being her normal uninhibited and unrestricted self, innocently being all touchy feely without any qualms towards men she trusts. She just took the chance presented to check out his bare chest for the scar. Unfortunately, poor Shi Jin misunderstood, who wouldn't? I do hope he is NOT the man in black coat.

Same, unexpectedly enjoying this so much but I'm bracing myself and lowering my expectations. I just can't imagine how this pace will be sustained for another 27 episodes unless some crazy sh*t happens.

He didn't believe the siblings coincidentally showed up in the forest nearby his secret meeting so he suspected them of spying on him. Yes, he ordered to kill them if it's proven that they lied about being there to bury treasure. This sibling duo is just wacky, actually the whole fam, I love them.

Whatever Rong Xia's other intentions for the Ban family is now overshadowed by the realization that he loves Ban Hua. Our boy feels it's now a desperate situation, he must confess his love or risk losing her forever. He knows Shi Jin loves Ban Hua so now he's afraid that she is reciprocating and accepting Shi Jin's love (caring for him intimately and accepting "proposal gifts"/prey wrapped in white silk). Plus Shi Jin is really a good match for Ban Hua even the Emperor has hinted his approval as long as Ban Hua agrees. Love, jealousy and fear pushed Rong Xia to finally confess and I'm quite happy with how he he did it ;)

Yay 1k! He's No.1 Thai in comments for sure and near the top overall on mdl, I peeked at a few famous ones and if I didn't miss any then only Sean Xiao beat him with 1.4k+ comments xD

Lord Flying Snake is one of my favorites. I love his signature hissing "Sssss" sound and slight head slide move. Sometimes he does this cute little swagger making his pony tail bounce back and forth behind him. Such a delightful loyal snake and spirit beast for Xuan Ji ;)
