It is the script and actors. TSJ kept saying he was not a good person. Shall I count the ways? I can think of only 1: pursing a woman while officially engaged to another without cancelling that engagement. The only reason I overlooked his pursuits was because YY was sleeping with SH, his brother.
DW made me dislike his character regardless of the scars inflicted brutally by his brother in this final act in S1. IMO that is good acting. Besides, XY believes his the right one for her and a good person so that is all that matters.
Wow. Assassins burst in and grandfather king just sits there—-calm. He must have been great in battles. I really hope his sons had nothing to do with it as it looked like a suicide mission for the assassins with something for their families perhaps upon death by their own swords. Smh
The numbered uncle 5 or 7 meets XL. I do not believe XL will conspire with these uncles against CX who promised a homeland for his military men.
How do you have a character just ignore a family member being ruthless to him? Humiliatng him before a town folk? Not putting a spy on one of his 9 tails? Or his fiancée that he knows loathes him?
The story that told usTSJ was wise. It did. Really? Yes, other characters told us repeatedly except for may XL during his invitation at some place where he was tested on his astuteness thinking XY's was listening. 👍
Well, Deng Wei is doing an excellent job in having some members of the viewing audience tuning in and turn on his character all of a sudden. Who did this to him?
Oh, XinYue was so in love until the crosswalk of becoming married to the man of her dreams and poor. She sold him short. Good for CX as he seemed to go along to get what he wanted or needed.
ep 35, even though TSJ received confirmation from the heavens in the prior ep, he should have just taken XY and married her. He is too good to be true and not a hero. This is not that kind of story.
What have they done to him? And, yes I read the book years ago and as a patron of this drama, allowed to question the actions portrayed by characters in the storyline....We can critique. My opinion as of ep 36, he has dropped in value but as long as XY values him, fine. This is my contingency plan going forward.
