You don't get everything you want in life
At first, I didn’t expect Always Home to hit me the way it did. It’s calm, warm, and very slice-of-life, but slowly it grows on you. By the end, it feels like saying goodbye to people you actually know. The characters felt real, it felt like your grew with them.
MAIN LEADS
The main leads were honestly the heart of this drama. Their relationship felt very natural, no over-the-top drama, just quiet understanding and growth. I really liked how their bond developed slowly and realistically, especially the emotional support they gave each other during tough moments. They definitely chose the correct actors for the cast cause how well they fit their roles.
SECOND LEADS
The second leads were surprisingly good. They didn’t feel unnecessary or forced, and each of them had their own charm. I liked how they added depth to the story instead of distracting from the main couple. It was pretty shocking how SML didn't end with the SFL. Honestly I didn't expect as cdramas always usually give a happy ever after to every character. But i kinda liked it that way , i didn't enjoy the SFL that much.
LIKES
I loved the realistic portrayal of family, friendships, and daily life. The warmth of home, parents, and childhood memories was shown really well. The pacing was slow but comforting, and the drama felt very healing overall. It is kinda heartbreaking how real this drama is, the character who made us laugh the most (ML) is there person who made us cry, His dad passing, him losing his dream career, everything felt real. I first hated Lian Tan but he was the only person who gave comedy in serious situations.
FAV SCENE
My favourite scene has to be the quiet moments where everyone is together at home—simple conversations, meals, and laughter. Those scenes really captured the essence of the drama and made it feel very real.
CONCLUSION
Overall, Always Home is a comforting and heartwarming drama. It’s not about big twists but about life, growth, and relationships. I would recommend this drama to people who enjoy slice-of-life stories, family-centered dramas, and something calm and emotional rather than intense.
