Worse than terrible; do not watch!
What happens if you put too much of an ingredient, let us say, salt, in a soup? It makes it trash. This is how it went with this series, too.
In my opinion, there are 2 big classes of Science Fiction stories: in one of them, everything is set in an imaginary world, where everything is fiction; the other class is when a few events or elements are fiction and the remainder is build up in a rational way around the few events. Probably you can easily see examples from each of the category.
In which category is the actual series? In None! At the beginning it seems to be the second category, yet the writer kept adding silly elements of fiction that were so exaggerated yet packed up as rational events to the point that the story became an insult to the viewer.
Well, bad ideas and big mistakes can happen to anybody, but that those pass several levels of control is unbearable. Not only the writer, but also the director and the decision makers failed lamentably in this case. The product is one of the worst quality one can find, staying in strong contrast to the invested money and to the abilities of the actors.
My recommendation is: do not watch, not even if you want to see a bad example.
