I wouldn't say this is censorship. Because there are chinese drama that does it well. For me queerbaiting would be when the drama is depicting an "ambiguous" sorta relationship between same gender pairing and then still ends up one or both of the characters with an opposite gender. Meanwhile censorship that does not include baiting audiences leave the 2 characters relationship up to the viewers interpretation. For example The Untamed, Guardian, S.C.I or even Word of Honor. Those characters didn't exactly shown as an endgame but they also didn't paired up with a female characters. I don't expect any intimate scene but I do want is romance. Even its a just a subtle approach I don't care about kisses, a glance for me is a big win.

Anyone read the novel? I haven't read nor watch this adaptation because I wanna wait till its complete and just binge it.

From the comments I read so far there is a girl character that they are trying to pair with ML? Does this development exist in the novel? Is the novel not bl? Or did the studio decided to change it?

Last time I was this absorb in a investigation type of kdrama was Life on Mars. I should've waited for this series to finish before watching now I can't sit still what with quarantine and nothing to do but wait for next episode :'(

For a moment there I thought he met her before he becomes a chef but then the flashback was of his sister doesn't have any correlation to the plot at the time so I was confuse and then I thought wait a minute is the FL his niece? And I was like WHAT. So here I am trying to find answer.

This version better make me cry my heart out like how the japanese version did.

ITS A HIM!!?? I mean I've seen androgynous male before but some still have a bit of manly feature but he looks legit like a woman. If it wasn't for his adam apple or gender stating male I honestly thought this was a woman.
