Why is the rating for this drama low? Because there is stupid dog-blood drama/love triangle? This is such a nice…
I think the reason why it's so low is because people were putting it low at the beginning because it isn't your usual love drama recipe. It has an interview aspect, where it's almost like we're watching a vlog of these people's lives ... some people were turned off by that in the beginning. Personally I love this new approach and tend to find normal romance kdramas boring and predictable, but this one just seemed more original and engaging
The song that they play at the end when the building is blowing up doesn't fit the scene at all, honestly that scene really had no need for background music. And you know what, I think that perfectly encapsulates how this drama was, it was good but there was just something off about it. Idk if it was the relationship between Do Jung Woo and Gong Hye Won which I felt was forced and unnecessary or if it was the weird racist undertone directed towards Americans or something else.... idk it was good but just something was missing
Agree, they point out all the time and she is kinda speaking English in weird situations. Plus she doesn't look…
I completely agree with you. I even posted in this comment section I. The first few episodes about how weird her ‘American’ accent was and how Captain Do actually had a more natural accent than her. I also noticed how she sometimes uses weird English phrases for no reason, like whoever wrote the script must be really out of touch with the Western world and Asian Americans
One thing that I find slightly off-putting and annoying about this series is how often they point out that Jamie is American and try to really drive home the point that her being American makes her somehow different from them. Like how in the beginning how the female cop is all like "oh I won't ever wok under an American" and the whole spicy food thing last episode where somehow the restaurant owner assumed she was American just from the fact that she can't handle spicy food, when she had zero reason to think that she wasn't Korean as she looks Korean and speaks it perfectly fine. Even this episode Jamie just barging in to the police chief's office and him saying "did they no teach you how to knock in America." Like all of these have nothing to do with nationality, but for some reason this show insists on trying to drive that point home
She spoke better english than the korean cop by far. Also I do not think speaking american english is one of the…
Ok…have you always lived in the US? Did you immigrate there? If you did, How old were you? Are your parents American or not?
All of this plays a factor. The female actress that I’m talking about has her character story as being adopted by an American family at a young age. Presuming that she learns English in the US and is constantly interacting with other Americans in her social life and at home, logic follows that she should have developed an American accent after all her time there.

Im not complaining that they casted her or anything like that and like I said I never said her English wasn’t good, just that the male cop had a more American accent and I found that funny when looking at the scene. Tbh I don’t care about them casting the actor just for the actor to have a specifically American accent, so far I like the female actress they chose, I just noticed that little thing during that scene and wanted to share my opinion
NGM had a normal accent (pretty decent for a korean) but the female one was clearly good. She could have lived…
Totally agree that she could have lived outside of Korea, but the shows says that she is from America and therefore you would presume her to have an American accent, which she doesn’t. She clearly has more of an international accent and has slight difficulties pronouncing some words. I am not saying the her English is bad by any means, it’s very good, just that her pronunciation and accent needs some work if it wants to be passed off as korean American. For example, in the drama Start Up, Stephanie Lee who plays Sa Ha in the drama has a very good American accent (since she’s actual American ). I mean some of the lines that she says in English are kinda weird and you would never hear someone say in English but that’s just the writer’s fault for having weird English in the dialogue
Ep 2 - Ok not trying to hate but how are you going to say that you're a Korean American and let the korean cop have better english than you (^o^) (^o^)(^o^)(^o^)I still think it's really nice that they got two actors who are pretty decent at english to have that little english conversation moment.....but let's just say that it was clearly not an American english that was being spoken by the woman
Ep - 2 -- The female cop Gong Hye Won is legit just openly being racist towards foreigners (^o^)(^o^)(^o^)(^o^)what the hell just out of nowhere goes I can never work under a foreigner, I refuse to let it happen (^o^)(^o^)(^o^)(^o^) wtf
Plot wise this is the 2nd worst drama I watch this year right after Born again, lol, what a stupid ending, this…
Plot wise I completely agree, but in terms of the drama as a whole, to me this is right up there with Rugal, cause to me that drama was as CRINGEY as it comes which dragged it down to Alice level and maybe even further below that
I'm convinced that this piece of shit comes from the same writers who write the plots for shitty mobile rpg games. This is just seriously terrible and boring
I could be wrong though it’s like saying it’s blatantly obvious Naruto is going to become the Hokage when the series had started, it hasn’t happened and therefore I am making a prediction and it might not come true
Whatever I put it spoiler but I really didn’t see the need to do that
Well, here is my prediction, even though it is blatantly obvious what is going to happen in terms of romance:
So obviously she is going to meet with the real Nam Do San and gradually fall in love with him since we know from the previews that Ji Pyung (the fake NDS ) pretty much is going to bribe him to pretend to be the person who wrote the letters. Anyways she is going to gradually start to like him, but I'm guessing that JP and the female lead will meet but she'll only see him as competition or something and the JP is going to fall for her like he did through the letters and that my friends is how the live triangle of this drama is formed
Alright here we go, I didn't think I'd see it in a k-drama, but this female lead is a FEMALE SIMP. She literally lets Ong Seong Woo's character step all over her and she continues to let him play with her emotions, he's literally got her wrapped around his finger.
He has continuously played with her emotions since he's known her as it was obvious she had a crush on him, he's rejected her several times, I don't give a fuck if you say that he never rejected her directly, he clearly closed off their relationship and never gave her an opening and was always cold to her.
Don't give me the bullshit that he was always protecting her, like some guardian angel, well he was the reason that she was being bullied in the first place, so he should take some responsibility and fucking clean up his mess while he's at it since he was always hanging around her
Don't give me the bullshit that growing up with divorced parents is hard, yeah, well 50% of marriages end up in divorces yet you don't see all the children from those families go on to be like this guy
Also I really don't like the whole boy who cried wolf archetype that they're giving him because it underlies that you should pity him. The boy who cried wolf only lied to the villagers and constantly teased them about the wolf because he was lonely, no one cared about him and he wanted attention, and when the wolf finally appeared and no one was there, you could see how truly alone the boy was and he suffered for what he did, truly a tragic story.
The male character in this drama on the other hand, didn't push the female lead away and lie to her because he wanted attention or anything, he did it because he was genuinely insecure about himself and his feelings and he was confused about his emotions, and just kept hurting her by leading her on, making her believe that she had a shot with him, he on the other hand perfectly knew that she liked him and just didn't want to let her go because he's selfish
I really just don't understand how this girl can continue to let herself be led on by him, but if they end up together, they honestly just deserve each other
BTW, I'm not hating on OSW, I just don't like character at all so far, but I think he's written that way on purpose and he will probably end up being the main boyfriend
...then just stop watching and stop hating. It's really simple...Plenty of us love the character. I think we make…
Growing up with divorced parents isn't easy, but that is not an excuse for allowing this character to emotionally abuse the female lead. Because, YES he is abusing the female lead emotionally and it is not okay by any means
Like all of these have nothing to do with nationality, but for some reason this show insists on trying to drive that point home

At least it's not the worst drama I've watched this year, Rugal still takes the cake for that one
