Taking the voting into account, you're in the minority thinking that, yes. The drama is about the trio's character…
That is not what I said at all, I already said that I thought it was good , in fact I gave it an 8.5-9/10, but I think it is overrated and that it’s a bit too much to call it the best drama of 2020 or even the best drama of all time with how some of the story telling and plot creates some pretty big questions that are just left unexplained
Taking the voting into account, you're in the minority thinking that, yes. The drama is about the trio's character…
Yeah well I’m not watching either of them for the sexy scenes, and anyways whenever there was a steamy scene in IONTBO, it was immediately canceled in a few minutes by a Sang Tae scene which removes all sexual tension and just makes the atmosphere awkward
Taking the voting into account, you're in the minority thinking that, yes. The drama is about the trio's character…
The guy in flower of evil is not a psychopath, it’s said multiple times that he has severe antisocial disorder and it was even revealed that he was not the one who killed the village foreman. It’s also implied that he has grown immensely since he was a teenager as in the latest episodes, when he is on the verge of dying and his wife saves him, he admits that he feels sorry for her that she has to live with him and that he dragged her into his life and he also cares a lot about his daughter and wants to protect her.
On the other hand, the mom from IONTBO is a clear deranged psychotic woman who killed another person just because they suggested her daughter might need some mental help and also found it completely normal to do so. There is an extent to caring about the daughters between the two characters, Hyun Su just wants a normal life for his daughter whereas the mom wants Mun Yeong to grow up to be a psychopath just like her and is molding her child to be a mirror image of herself. If she was so obsessed with her daughter like what was shown in Mun Yeong’s childhood, there is no way she could have restrained herself for the 15+ years she did without contacting her in any way. The mom being the nurse is a cop out and a weak plot twist
Also you need medical certifications to become a nurse at a psychiatric hospital. It’s even said in the drama that Gang Tae didn’t even finish High School. Right off the bat, there are very few places that hire people without a high school degree and it’s way more unlikely that you turn up to mental care institute and show the your CV saying you’ve worked and like 10 different fast food restaurants and been a garbage man or something and they hire you as a nurse so I have no idea how in the hell any mental health institute hired him.
Also the Jae Soo character is never really explored, what in the world did the Moon brothers do for him that made him so loyal to them, basically making his life revolve around them and following them everywhere.
I get it’s not the main point of the story but I feel like it would’ve been much better for the story if this was explained because, looking at the story, it is very inconsistent when taking into account that a lot of the logistically important details were left out
Am I the only one who thinks it's a bit overrated. (do not agree it's the best drama of 2020, so far Flower of Evil is outclassing it for me by far and is only 8 episodes in)
**********SPOILERS*****************
I feel like the nurse ending up being the mom is a huge cop out in terms of the general plot, the way the character of the mom was fleshed out I feel would've made it impossible to be able to interact normally with society, even if she was trying her hardest, so her being able to slip past the director of the hospital and be hired as a nurse is a huge plot hole, also I feel like she is such a psycho that she would not have been able to wait so long before interacting with her daughter.
Also another huge plot hole I found is that they never explain how Gang Tae and Sang Tae (GT being 12 and ST being a bit older) managed to survive after they ran away from the police station after their mom was murdered. How the hell did Gang Tae as a 12 year old boy and Sang Tae as an older autistic brother, which at the time are both homeless, had their only family die, and now having zero resources available whatsoever, manage to provide for themselves, get proper lodging, presumably fund a 12 year old's education enough for him to get nursing certifications, etc.
If a 12 year old Gang Tae is smart enough to figure all that stuff out, he should have also known that he is doing himself and his brother a disfavor by not getting him proper medical help, although maybe there are some cultural differences between the west and korea when it comes to accepting to get mental help for people who have mental disabilities. But he clearly saw how much his brother was suffering and should have sought out outside help sooner.
Anyways it was a pretty good drama, but i feel like the inconsistencies in the story brought it down for me
It's so unfortunate that there are those who cannot fathom that a truly good person can exist in the ~real world,…
There’s such a thing as going too far, living in the same house as one of your students because you’re in love with the mom is one of those things. Plus it’s his immaturity that throws me off his way of thinking is akin to that of a 13 year old...it’s just too much
I think the original Baek Hee Sung got comatosed because his father hit him or something
I'm pretty sure that it was heavily implied that the mom did something to him, like she flipped out on him for the accident or that she wasn't there to save him, for example some are speculating that he attempted to kill himself after causing the accident because of guilt and maybe the mom did not make it in time to stop him from hurting himself permanently
Honestly I like the actress for Ji Won and the character is okay but I like Hyun Su so much moreas a character and I want him to come out on top, if only she hadn't planted that gps on his ass he could've gotten away with so much more. I just hope that Hyun Su catches on that Ji Won is actually pretty aware of the fact that he's Hyun Su and realizes all the schemes she's pulling and flips it back on her, that would be fire
don't watch it on kisstv, the og creators are making this content from the twitter account subbuddy and they would…
No sweat, they’re also subbing season 2 starting from episode 3 since episodes 1&2 were already subbed by the twitter account some subs but they dropped it after
14 eps later and I still don't see what Oh yeon woo is adding to the story?!
Same, I can't with the Oh Yeon Woo , every time one of his scenes is playing I need to skip through it, something about it is so cringey. He give off serious isekai anime protagonist power of friendship, can only do good type of vibes, and it's just way too much for a full grown adult. Plus he's a massive simp and it is really weird for him to live in the same house as one of his students

Honestly, Noh Ae-Jung is immature in regards to Oh Dae-OH. The man deserves closure for the relationship they had 14 years ago. Yes he is being immature and unreasonable in the way that he is constantly badgering her for an answer, but is somewhat understandable as she was his girlfriend for a few years and left him heartbroken without any sort of explanation as to why.
Just tell the man why you had to leave him, make the mature decision and give the guy some closure, it's the proper thing to do. She's honestly being selfish, she is just seeing it telling him the reason would complicate things for herself, and is complete dismissing the fact the she hid this from the guy for 14 years and completely fucked him over and broke him
Umm.. something to think about.Well others have tried to explain the issues you have raised. There are something…
Well here is also something to bring up, how in the fuck did a 12 year old boy and an older autistic brother, which at the time are both homeless, had their only family die, and now having zero resources available whatsoever, manage to provide for themselves, get proper lodging, presumably fund a 12 year old's education enough for him to get nursing certifications, etc. If a 21 year old is smart enough to figure all that shit out, he should also know that he is doing himself and his brother a disfavor by not getting him proper medical help
