I actually watched the sports yesterday, rather than just some updates. I caught some of the gymnasts, man that sh*t's addictive XD That Uchimura dude-he went for simple and totally nailed it. Felt kinda bad for his partner Tanaka though, he was doing so well until his legs hit the big block thingy and he got knocked down from Silver medal to 6th place :/

Oh and Oleg Verniaiev, that kid is impressive, he's only like 18 or something and he was top 3...right until Nyugen kicked his butt.

I really hate the commentators we have though, they make it so obvious where their bias' lie. It's kinda irritating, makes me reluctant to side with the British team.

Oh and did you hear about the racist stuff, that's been coming out of the Olympics-the Swedish hockey player and the Greek gymnast? Lol why do famous people even have twitters? Even the dimmest light bulb would know better.

Oh and that Phelps dude, I think he was getting quite a lot of bashing for not having done as well as he did in the 2008 ones, I think some of those haters are hiding behind their couches or something now.

Sue me I don't know who won, tell me.

Lol I didn't stick around to finish watching the livestream (yes i didn't bother even watching it on time)turned out Evanescence was on MTV so I had no qualms about abandoning the Olympics.

Hahaha, I have to admit that might be the biggest turn on, but have you noticed the amount of scandals that are coming out of the sports? I think there was one for this Korean athlete (can't remember what sport) but apparently he was too fast. Then there was Ye Shiwen, who again was too fast (swimming)...I don't know whether to take the Olympics seriously any more. Is everyone there simply for the pride or the genuine enjoyment of sports (of course I don't know what that is XD)

ooh RP that was pretty good, lots of typical story lines and the bad guys are real bad guys, i'd probably call them villains. and the ost is real good too. Hopefully you'll enjoy it.

lol i was going to ask you the same thing. i watched the opening ceremony if that counts...I didn't really like it though, most of it felt like my AS Eng Lit class followed by a British pop quiz. The Queen's entrance was pretty amusing though.

As for the sports, I'm a true and loyal couch potato so every time I watch those healthy ass people doing more healthy ass stuff, it just puts me off :) I honestly don't get why I would want to watch hour upon hour of someone completing the same muscle movements, hell it might even be more interesting if I did that myself. On the other hand, I can hear my sis' cheering in front of the tele :/ Wbu?

it's only like 45 minutes long and not all eps are subbed yet, actually i think it's still currently airing. but it's good, no squeaky voices, no over acting. female character seems strong so far and you got two hot male leads :)

ah cheonsa mentioned that one to me, said the ending was a bit meh~ though so, i might watch it when i've run out of things on my ptw. i did catch some of KSA in City Hall, but I put that on hold a couple of weeks ago. As awesome as the actors are, the story was a bit lagging. I hate dramas where I have to actually fast forward a scene.

gah, the guy's out of line spanking someone else's child. They maybe training the kid to call the idols 'dad' but let's not take that for real. They should have more laws concerning children in the entertainment industry.

speaking of B.A.P i swear Ki Kwang looked a lot like that bushy haired kid from B.A.P...y'know the one who raps like he's literally on fire or something. Oh and Yoseob looked so adorable as the under age kid partying on the rooftop XD

lol the one in the red hair stood out the most to me, he went from manly troublemaker to quite the feminine one, and honestly he looked a bit too thin, kinda reminds of this jp actor i can't remember.

Lol I know what you mean...the stuff is a bit of a repetition, so unless you're a hardcore fan it probably won't strike you as much.

Kekeke she did make a joke about how they looked a bit too metro to be hanging in the hoodlums of NY.

Lol I'm not a huge fan of reality tv, but it was during my fad for Shinee, that my sis' managed to get me to watch it. The guys were so cute! I loved the gag they did for Chunhyang, all the guys were just adorable.

Never been into MBLAQ so I didn't bother, plus after I finished watching the Shinee one, I went on a moral crusade about how unethical and blah blah blah it was for the production company to use the kid, (he was calling the boys 'dad' for the love of god) only for them to finish seeing the kid as soon as it was all over. I know the ending showed the kid all chipper and fine, but meh it didn't sit well with me :/

I think I read an article about that...i think it was supposed to be because of the fact that one of the kids was mixed race or something. Kr being homogeneous, mixed race kids are considered on the outskirts. Or something like that, I'm not sure.

Lol sure...no i didn't really catch that part, since I decided to skip a few where they were rambling...

as much of a k-popper i am, I think I have to be all over the artist *cough* SS501 maybe Suju to an extent, to really want to watch them on variety. I think I'm a little bored of k-pop to be honest. After being obsessed with it for a couple of years, I think I've become really picky.

Catchy as the songs are, I seldom play the music after the first 2 weeks of listening. Mmm I think I might check out older eps and scour the one's with some of my fave actors...i did do that for Park Si Hoo (awesomness personified) and I ended up watching 'Happy Together' I think, well they were dressed for sauna or something. Anyway~ are you watching anything new?

lol the auto tuned engrish mess is still catchy though...ballad groups, yay! :)

I love Lee Haeri's vocals, regardless of whether she's given an engrish mess she still manages to out a whole load of emotion when she belts out her epic vocals. Other than a few indie bands here and there, I revert back to my old Finnish metal bands. Actually I'm finally going to get to see them in concert *squeals* Oh and I agree, the guys who do OST's need more credit, it definitely contributes towards the drama.

Oh and Absieee said you watched Shinee's 'hello baby'. What did you think of it?

Lol well that's half the reason I never look up lyrics...(the other half, i just can't be bothered.)

I won't go all Plato but I thought doing something different would make them money. You know like you start a new trend in school and suddenly everyone wants to know and everyone's your best friend. Doing things outside of a box would garner attention...

meh i guess i can't really complain I save every penny in my pocket regardless of whether I have spare change...k-pop is about the aesthetics after all, no one really pays too much attention to anything beyond that. In a way I guess that's true, the extent to which it's manufactured makes it hard to think of it as 'real' music. But at the same time there are some singers out there that give me enough goosebumps to reconsider the generalisation. Do you listen to any other genres?
