Why was it a mess? All of the story angles were explained in the end, recollections showed bits and pieces of the story and reveal, the ending showed how hard work and true love paid off, it also meant to learn to move on, there were satirical tones about how we view happiness and Utopian way of life, done in a clever fusion of rock and Japanese culture, but most importantly, it was fun. I don't think you know Kudo's style or work at all, I don't know what you were expecting.
At first I thought where is this drama going? I saw the last episode and now I see it as a good drama that teaches about how couples should work things out instead of hastily breaking up. I liked it!
Currently watching this in youtube. Really thanks to the uploaders. I'm on ep 75 now (100 plusplus to go!) I'm taking it slow. But hopefully I can finish all of it.
