Title Tomb of the Sea Spoiler
When the Wang family were teaching Li Cu lessons and the video mention that King Mu got the immortal potion from…
Short answer yes and no. Long answer the Zhang were falling apart and so the leaders of the time decided to use the immortal baby to kickstart the Zhang but when they opened the casket to check, there was nothing but sludge. Xiaoge's father had a wife outside the family and was facing death for him and his son. The leaders took the baby and set him up to become the immortal child. The Wang found out and then informed the Zhang people, which caused a battle among the fractions of the family, and Xiaoge to be tormented because of his blood was still very useful with repelling grave bugs. While in a tomb with the current leader and such, another fight between factions happened and Xiaoge managed to survive and get out. What was left of the leadership - Foye I believe - decided to use Xiaoge to centralize what was left so he became the Zhang Qiling aka symbolic leader. He had to retrieve a couple tools from the previous leader's body in order to help with the Zhang treasure rooms and also help move the bodies of other Zhangs but otherwise he does his thing. So in a way he picked up what the baby was suppose to be but isn't really the baby.

Youre wrong. Tomb of the Sea happened before Reunion. Tomb of the sea happened year 2014 while Reunion or restart…
thank you. i was going to say this but saw that you already. yes the actor is in sand sea and in reunion but he is playing two different roles. i mean tlt2's actor for sanshu was playing boss ma in this show two totally different characters but same freaking actor.

so, how does reunion fall into the list? Because that was the one that got my interested, but now I just found…
Reunion was mislabeled as Lost Tomb 3 when it was first announced. We're now told there will be a LT3 coming so Reunion is set after Sand Sea.

Sand Sea is set after The Lost Tombs series and before Reunion: Sound of the Providence
Mystic Nine is the prequel about the families back in the grandparents day. You can watch it if you want but its not necessary.

Title Tomb of the Sea Spoiler
can someone explain to me how come xiao ge is somehow dead in this series? and then suddenly alive in reunion…
He's not dead. He was guarding the Bronze Gate after he and Wu Xie traveled there and found out that the Nine Gates were suppose to be watching over it and wasn't. Technically Wu Xie was suppose to be the one set to guard the Gate, but Xaioge took his spot after knocking him out. So for ten years, Wu Xie kept on waiting for Xiaoge to come out of the Gate, which is where he's going at the end of this series.

OMG, I just checked Zhu Yi Long'age , He only 32 years old, why he looks so old???
He's looked that way for years and years tho. Look back on his other works same face, he just grew into the more mature lines. Besides, Wu Xie is suppose to be hitting his forties. He was born in 1977 so it makes sense to have a more mature look than the latest idol look.

From ep 17 It went off rails ,,, a train wreck ,,,, why they separate the three ??? why the story became two separate…
Also remember that is just the first part so all those loose threads are going to up together again. All these bits and pieces of them doing their things alone is going to tie together and they will be reunited. I actually enjoyed the lone Wu Xie parts because despite being separated from the others he is still thinking of them and talking to at least Pangzi. It's a little harder for him to call up Xiao-ge because of the interference his Second Uncle is doing so just be patient. It will come together in the next half.

As per the actor and writers' comments:Wu Xie remains sick but in the story he does not die. His lungs will remain…
There was an arc that included an incurable 'bell' disease, and Wu Xie was coughing up 'pearls' as well as blood a lot of scenes in the warehouse they chopped out.

The filming has been complete for a while. They filmed both parts all at once - nearly a year's worth of filming…
It would be nice but I'm not holding my breath for them to get re-casted.

Hi jingus, does anyone know if there's continuity, ie is LTR 2 filming already completed? If yes, same cast? Any…
The filming has been complete for a while. They filmed both parts all at once - nearly a year's worth of filming but they need to get the ok from the censors for the next bit to get released.

Question: Wu Xie also called as Xiao San Ye (小三爷). Why is that?I'm quite confused since he is not the number…
I found the answer for this a couple days ago on another site. It's because he was raised/trained by his Third Uncle so he is 'Young Master Three' in honor of his Third Uncle.

As per the actor and writers' comments:Wu Xie remains sick but in the story he does not die. His lungs will remain…
This season was suppose to have 72 episodes then was cut down to 66 episodes. They split it into two parts so once the censorship is done the next half will be released.

Do you think in the final episodes he will die from his lung disease ??
As per the actor and writers' comments:
Wu Xie remains sick but in the story he does not die. His lungs will remain weak but he does find a cure.

Hello guys! I'm so confused rn. I started watching this drama coz of zhu yi long.. But i saw many many other series…
Copying from an earlier comment:
- Mystic Nine (2016) [50 years before the main event]
- Lost Tomb 1 (2015) [story from Book 1]
- Lost Tomb 2: Explore with the Note (2019) [story from book 2 & 3]
- Lost Tomb 2: Heavenly Palace on the Cloud (not yet released) [book 4]
- Lost Tomb 3 : Ultimate Chronicles (not yet released) [book 5,6 &7]
- Tibetan Sea Flower (not yet released) [5 years after main event]
- Tomb of The Sea (2018) [9 years after main event]
- Lost Tomb Reboot/Reunion (this show + part two)[10 year after]

There is also going to be a donghua (animation) based off the third book in the series but no announcement has been made about when that will air. Also IMO the seasons have various level of wth going on and the actors do get changed out.

Are these arranged in chronological order?
doesn't look like it. Mystic Nine is a prequel then we go Lost Tomb 1, Lost Tomb 2, time skip of nine years to Tomb of the Sea, and then a year or so time skip to Reunion. Time Raiders is just a movie version of Lost Tomb 1 more or less and The Ghouls is not really connected. Copying over from a comment on the Reunion page it runs like this:

- Mystic Nine (2016) [50 years before the main event]
- Lost Tomb 1 (2015) [story from Book 1]
- Lost Tomb 2: Explore with the Note (2019) [story from book 2 & 3]
- Lost Tomb 2: Heavenly Palace on the Cloud (not yet released) [book 4]
- Lost Tomb 3 : Ultimate Chronicles (not yet released) [book 5,6 &7]

- Lost Tomb Reboot/Reunion [10 year after]

Despite all its flaws the reason why I keep coming back for more isn't just because Zhu Yilong is wonderful as…
The others in this series are a mixed bag tbh. While portions of them work, for the most part I never felt as attached to Wu Xie as I have in this drama. I also actually find myself reacting a lot to what is happening on screen - usually I don't get that crawling spooky/creeped out feeling in shows but this one has done it for me and I think a large part has to do with the actors and how well they are selling the atmosphere. And Zhu Yilong's Wu Xie is one of the best versions of the character I've seen. He's got the perfect mix of confidence and sweet that the character is suppose to have and it's great. The laggy parts in the village with Sunglasses does ruin things but watching Wu Xie show off his strengths without the rest of the Iron Triangle is a gem.
