Indeed, the manufactured storylines are so tiresome - making mountains out of molehills, or even vice versa. When participants seem to be falling for one another, we really just want to see more and dig deeper. But they did bring us a fantastic cast this season, so I'll give them credit for that.

I completely agree that his steadfastness was so heartwarming, especially since he did it without pressuring her. And to Jeyeon's credit, that type of persistence will only work if the other party is receptive to it. She was open enough to give him a chance, and she was able to really see him when he showed her the man he is. I'm glad she recognized it, and I'm glad he was validated with her reciprocated feelings. I hope things continue to go well for them.

It really was a stellar cast! I come for the potential love stories, but I really enjoyed their group times this year.

This season is the epitome of why I keep coming back time after time - hoping and wishing to witness that special, beautiful love story. Watching people fall in love feeds my soul, I can't lie.

Off the top of my head, I remember them discussing CW's feelings about his age after SY arrived. JM was quite supportive then. CW seems a very willing participant in JM's struggles. He even likes to tease him about them. Frankly, I love their bromance. But overall, I realized that we haven't been shown much discussion among the participants in this regard. We got a few chats among the men, but I can't recall a single time beyond a couple minutes where we saw the women discussing their thoughts with each other.

I've been rewatching all their scenes starting from the very beginning, and I just smile like an idiot the whole time, without even realizing it.

I also feel like they spent so much time trying to sell us on this supposed love triangle that I would really like them to focus more on Jimin and Jeyeon for the remainder, if they are, in fact, endgame. Speaking of which, at this point, I do think it would take a pretty serious bombshell for at least Jimin not to choose Jeyeon in the end. I personally think the same from Jeyeon's perspective, but editing has made it a little harder to read her. I say enough with the editing games and just let us enjoy any endgame couples from now on, but that's probably wishful thinking.

Prior to episode 13, I could picture some legitimate scenarios that could have led to that outcome. However, after episode 13 and Jimin and Sua's date and his conviction with Hanuel about staying the course with his original choice, and most especially after remembering how Jimin's roommate feels about Sua, I just don't see Jimin making such a choice. Of course, anything can happen even at this late stage, so we will see.

I am not at all surprised to learn this. I suspected it was happening all along based on it happening in previous seasons. It's frustrating when they keep key footage from us just to push their narrative. Like others have said, it's why I reserve judgment about what I'm seeing on screen, knowing it has been highly manipulated. For some reason, I keep coming back to these shows even knowing this. LOL

@moonfolk You're right. It's not the first time this editing strategy has been used and won't be the last as long as dating shows are around. I also agree with your assessment about why. And for some reason the panelists' superficial comments are especially bothersome to me this season.

It's interesting that you mentioned Min Gyu from HS4. His journey came to mind while watching Heart Pairing, and I once again wondered if he was really as indecisive as they made it seem or if he was a "victim" of editing. From what I've seen of both the Korean and Chinese versions, the Chinese editors seem much more likely to portray things more straightforwardly (not always, of course), even if that leaves the audience with less mystery in the end, while the Korean editors seem much more likely to use editing tricks to push for a love triangle of some sort, leaving that anticipation for the final choices. Knowing how they portrayed Min Gyu and what his final choice was makes me question what I'm seeing on the screen this season too.

I feel the same way. I admired that she understood she needed to shoot her shot and change his perception of her. I think it actually worked at first, but I also feel like her persistent intensity was weighing on Ji Min. I think he needed time to process, but she just kept hammering. He was visibly physically uncomfortable (hence, the "dizziness") but maybe not in a way that was beneficial for Haneul. If that type of attention is unwanted, it is not enjoyable. We will see if it proves effective in the long run.

These are legitimate questions. I don't get it either. This was one of the many reasons I just could not root for the main pairing. Nothing had changed for either of them by that point. None of their issues had been dealt with. If that reunion on the stairs was supposed to be heart-fluttering and romantic, it was not, for me.

The panel seems to find his actions endearing, but I'm glad to know I'm not the only one who finds them uncomfortable.

I have never commented on a director's page before, but I have been mesmerized by the filming of "A Killer Paradox" and had to find out more about the director. It makes sense to learn that he also directed "The Vanished" - another memorable one for me. I hope he gets more opportunities in the future.

In a year when I've been underwhelmed by most C/K-drama rom-coms, HS6 gave me life. I'm sad to see it end, but I wish everyone happiness!

My cheeks hurt from smiling during every ZhouQing interaction. I enjoyed the season overall, but I'd be down for a whole spinoff show of ZhouQing.

I was looking for something short and fun to fill some time and thought this would fit the bill. I don't mind tropey, cliche dramas. In fact, I sometimes crave them, but this failed to catch my interest after a few episodes. First of all, I really dislike when a FL character's strength, independence or rebelliousness are written/acted in the form of verbal and physical abuse of those around her and through shouting all the time. Secondly, the ML's acting is quite flat and emotionless. I am just not feeling anything from him. The only character that caught my interest was the SML, and that will just lead to frustration on my part, so I have chosen to drop this one.

What a whirlwind this whole fiasco has been. I have been an admirer of KSH's acting up until this whole thing went down, but now I have actually lost sleep thinking about the unthinkable situation that this man has had to endure by having this incredibly private time of his life splashed all over the internet. I have no connection to him and yet somehow I still feel sick to my stomach on his behalf..
