I stopped judging how the female leads look in gender-swapped K-dramas. It's tough to pull off convincingly casting…
i mean, i wasn’t criticizing the female lead (rather the make up artist maybe🤣). i quite liked what i got in ep1!! i have yet to watch The King’s Affection and Mr. Queen but i am excited for them (especially the latter)☺️
Just finished episode 1, I was too curious and caved. I think I can get behind the female lead dressing up as a man if only she wasn't wearing lipgloss... The comparison is maybe not the best, but ppl confusing the fl for a man was way more believable in Coffee Prince for example. I feel like Hee Soo still looks too pretty as a "man". Other than that, promising start...?
yeah and her make up is so bad, mostly the lips. She looks much older than everyone else in the drama. Who needs…
lol haha, she doesn't look that much older to me, and that wouldn't be my reason to dislike her either. BUT, she does look different because I didn't recognize her at first😭
Other's have suggested that Yu-Ra presents a foil for our protagonist who is not from her former life and that…
I agree with this argument, I think maybe the bigger problem really is 1) the acting and 2) the fact that YR isn’t as developed, interesting or complex as SM. YR is a walking cliché, whereas SM is a character with a twist that stays engaging. So maybe this is my main problem with the introduction of the ex-fiancée!☺️
Finally watched ep12, and honestly the only thing I genuinely didn't like was BoA's acting. I'm sorry but how hard is it to get a skilled actor? That way, I could at least tolerate the nasty character she's playing, but everyone (especially the two female leads) is acting circles around her... Also, Scumin is already such a good and complex villain, do we *need* Yu Ra??? No. (I know that she seems to be in the WebNovel - I'm venting). I can take all the annyoing rest we got, but the acting of our new villain just isn't good. She tries too hard and still fails to deliver.
yeah we can tell because ji won looked uncomfortable when they showed up to wreak havoc lmao
hm I don't think she'll forgive them tbh. her remark about how great they were at bullying her in school is telling enough. they "felt bad" or whatever and just changed their victim 🤣 for me, it would be a sense of "I don't forgive and I don't forget, but it's a part of me" and I think JW will find her own happiness so including them and forgiving them won't be needed for her to find peace
hands down the most REPREHENSIBLE character of any harem drama. ugh, I hate her so much it makes me vibrate with…
no because wtf was her problem lmao she created all her problems and proceeded to play the victim😭 like girly r*ped the emperor and was proud and the wondered why her husband hated her😭
i have yet to watch The King’s Affection and Mr. Queen but i am excited for them (especially the latter)☺️
