bro, this is ridiculous.. him just standing in the rain, while she's changing her shirt in the car... like just get in -- you're adults, not teenagers.... *sigh*
the male lead always standing outside and timing her routine from going inside to the time it takes her to shower and then going to bed is so weird ... bro just go home pls
a big disappointment to it's prequel, I'm 12 episodes in and I don't like what I am watching. This is drama created…
I'm so sad to admit that I agree with you. I finished O&O, and immediately started this one, but I had a hard time and put it on-hold for a month. I'm giving it another chance today.
I felt like their interactions are so wooden and stiff, I don't like the script for this one at all. I'm on episode 9 and I remember not really liking their chemistry... I also think them being so physically restrictive is ridiculous in modern dramas lol. In ancient / historical dramas I get it but here... meh. I also don't like how the female lead sometimes just says "mh" as an answers, that just stops the flow of the conversation... I'm waiting for the moment they both warm up more and we can see them get more comfortable but so far it doesn't hold up to O&O :(
jiwon wasn't even trying in the slightest to hide the security cameras in her apartment, how did scumin not see…
they literally had a heart to heart. also, jiwon was unconscious on the floor for a while lol, sumin had enough time to check if there wasn't sth off🤣🤣 her delusion made her too confident
It was whole point of the show though. All three of them were very convinced they are in “right” and only…
i think that was the only time her face actually moved... i didn't like BoA in this lol. couldn't take her seriously when grandpa told her to leave, she looked disgusted, but the face she made just looked ridiculous
currently finishing it and omg sumin is so dumb!!!🤣🤣🤣🤣
jiwon wasn't even trying in the slightest to hide the security cameras in her apartment, how did scumin not see them, they're SO big!!🤣🤣 black squares in the corners🤣🤣
The romance is slow and not really the driving force of the drama. Also, the emperor *does* know what goes on,…
The women don't get involved in political state affairs, and he doesn't get involved in their harem affairs. That's what the empress is for. In theory, of course. The emperor IS a dick lol you are right, but the thing is these women ARE disposible for him. He also has to consider their families (as I understand, there were 8 banner families and some of them are very noble, sooo), especially Noble Consort Gao's. Her father is a high ranking official, so the emperor cannot just do as he pleases because he does depend on these old geezers. Doesn't make it right and dw, you won't have to bother with the opera bitch (haha) much longer (should you want to continue). I understand your anger and annoyance though, it's crazy how little the emperor cares in the beginning. I would like to argue that as the show progresses, he got slightly better at caring for his wives and kids, but not much tbh😅😅
I'm watching this because it comes highly recc'd by people, and because it says it's a "romance" drama. However…
The romance is slow and not really the driving force of the drama. Also, the emperor *does* know what goes on, he just doesn't care because he's tired of his wives's scheming lol, he has enough to do in politics - he won't meddle with the women on top of that😅😭
If you're already this far and not convinced though, you might consider DNFing. Personally, I enjoyed this drama from start to finish because it's quite character driven with different relationships being developed and many crazy plot twists. Maybe you can stick around for a little? 🫣🥰
trust you can! i just rewatched it. i saw so much more detail, it was amazing.
i would rewatch any breathing moment, but i am already so many things rn and i really JUST finished this on the 27th, after starting it on the 1st (i had a lot of time on my hands to finish it so fast🥲🥲). might rewatch some time later though🥹🥹🥹 BUT!! do tell what details did you notice the second time watching it??🥰
