all dramas are on my watchlist!! i kinda want to watch meet yourself soon, might do that when i’m almost done with yanxi palace😏 forever and ever is good but i think i like o&o better tbh👁️
currently warching story of yanxi palace: long but worth it! i’m on ep30 and have not been bored at all yet! also my demon which is cute but i prefer welcome to samdalri for the weekend dramas! and also marry my husband which is super fun!🩵
i failed to keep up with it because other shows grabbed my attention more, and i wanted to save myself from the miscommunication etc haha. maybe i’ll pick it up again in the future^^
oh well lmao. i only watched until ep7 and never caught up. i liked her until then. buuut it did bother me even then that she would sometimes just start rambling and talking about things - forgetting that JW is deaf, like girl...🤣
After finishing today's episode, I think Sang Tae is a good representation of how ugly grief can be and how it can make nice and good people be and become mean and selfish against their better judgement. He was so innocent and kind when he was young and in love; he was also a good uncle to Sam Dal as we see at the end of the episode. He, too, acknowledged Sam Dal as his, just as his wife did with her and her sisters and how Sam Dal's mother viewed Yong Pil as her son. Ultimately, grief made him turn bitter, resentful and selfish. Seeing how he finally took the time to listen to Sam Dal, he finally realized how pure and sweet their romance is - and was thus reminded of his own love. It doesn't erase the pain he caused Sam Dal's family, but grief is never pretty.
Does this kind of love YP has for SD still exists in this world? He’s been loving her from a distance for those…
Considering the writers didn't give Sang Do a chance to love Sam Dal the same way, I also must say that the way he views this whole "I will chase after Sam Dal" is just ... not right. It makes me feel like he's chasing after an object he feels entitled to have just because he worked his butt off to make money. His car is one example. If I was him, I would have long thrown the towel and given up because not even his mom ever thought of shipping him with Sam Dal lmao. It's always been SDxYP (due to the writer's intention though - I feel Sang Do lacks depth)
I agree that his dad is uncomfortable to watch, but I feel like him finally moving on from his grieving will bring…
If any of the events you listed didn't happen, then ofc the show wouldn't exist lol😭. The female lead needed that one domino to fall into line to come to Jeju. She stayed away all these years because of Sang Tae, and because she had hurt YP lol (against her will). There is nothing wrong with YP not wanting to date anyone else. He can't force himself to fall in love, that would just add to his misery and it would not be fair to the other person who might have genuine feelings for him (if he was to have another relationship).
Young pil father is unbearable and he continues that his trait throughout the story and EP 13 proving his unbearable…
Pointing out how Sam Dal dated other men while YP didn't have a partner in those 8 years they were seperated ... clearly you didn't listen/watch carefully during ep13. Try again
