I posted constructive criticism to the script. It is you and your friends that can not take others opinion and fact that this drama is not that great. I am a novel reader and I disappointed yes.

Now you threat me to release my comments? You just show how you and your friends are like a bully here. Just release it. I do not post any hate. This is a public space so you all do not need to policing everyone who do not have the same voice as you.

I talk about the necklace part in the novel but Twinty saying she loves it more in the drama. She also do the same to others. Keep saying she loves this part and this part. It is okay if you enjoy but you do not need to reply to everyone as if the poster need to enjoy it too.

At least my points are objectives. Unlike you all. Keep deceiving people here about how successful this drama is.

The comments section should be call "Twinty, Precious, and Friends Space". They really delivering "mean girls" energy with always replying to any comments that are different with their opinions. Some comments said FL is obsessed then they started to make another comments of how she is not obsessed. Also accusing new accounts as a troll when they might be just a new viewers for this drama. No wonder the comments section is not as lively as other dramas airing on Netflix and getting more international exposure.

These are something that Lin Yingtao will not do in the novel. So sad the screenwriter ruining her character like this.

I have a hunch that after marriage, Lin Yingtao will become like Jiang Qiaoxi's mom. If we follow realistic logic and the way the plot has developed so far, Lin Yingtao is someone with controlling tendencies. She only takes, never gives, and doesn't care about others.

1. When Qin Yeyun couldn’t join the shopping trip for cheerleading outfits because her father injured his leg, Lin Yingtao's first reaction was to get angry that her friend missed their appointment — rather than trying to understand her friend’s personality or show concern for what might have happened. All she cared about was that her own desire for reconciliation wasn’t fulfilled.

2. Upon learning that Jiang Qiaoxi was going abroad, Lin Yingtao actually lashed out at Qin Yeyun, threw her bike at her, and told her to go find the boys from the Qunshan group. But once she saw Jiang Qiaoxi, her anger vanished, and she even had one of Qunshan's sidekicks call Qin Yeyun over to join them for dinner. It was all very self-centered and impulsive.

3. Additional note: She completely ignored how Jiang Qiaoxi was hurt by his mom oppressive control . Instead, she got angry just because Jiang Qiaoxi hadn’t told her he was going abroad. But the moment Jiang Qiaoxi said he'd take her with him in a couple of years, she instantly cheered up. Although she said she wouldn’t show it, it was obvious her mood flipped immediately.

4. She has known since they were young that Jiang Qiaoxi's mom had a terrifying grip on him, yet she still blamed him for not replying to her letters even though she knew full well he never even received them because they were intercepted and shared without his consent. Despite her words, she kept getting closer to him anyway.

5. When she saw Jiang Qiaoxi sneaking back home, carrying a suitcase and looking exhausted and pale, the first thing she asked was: “Will you always stay with me?” She only cared about her own needs not a single word of concern or comfort. Did she really “see” Jiang Qiaoxi at all?

In the preview, after years apart, when she sees the once brilliant Jiang Qiaoxi now down and out, her and Qunshan’s sidekick’s first reaction wasn’t worry or care but: “Why didn’t you contact Yingtao?”

Lin Yingtao from beginning to end:
“Jiang Qiaoxi, I want to fall in love too.”

She really is... next level.

Yunhe gave it S+ after more than 7 days of broadcast and it was on 22 July where Jiang Qiaoxi's kiss being aired. Yesterday it has only 8.7% market shares with 8.5M average playback/episode which is considered a flop by cnetz as it is under 15M.

The 17or 18M you mentioned is the daily playback only for the episode airing that day. The average/eps is only 8.5M.

There are more posts in weibo and xhs that complaining about the script, editing and how they cut every important scenes related to plot. It is true that this drama was highly anticipated but it is disappointing many people now.

And yes with 1M likes and trending of his scene, it can be said that Jiang Qiaoxi and Zhang Linghe is carrying this drama even with such small amount of screentime,

You care only about leads but I care about good flow of the drama itself. I do not watch the drama for the leads only but I see it as a whole.

I'm not going to reply to you anymore as it is clear we have different way to see this drama. This drama is so bad even I found many comments of viewers can not differentiate which one is Cai Fangyuan and which one is DuShang even after 16 episodes being aired. I'm too lazy to drag all posts on Rednote criticizing this drama, so just let people here believe as per you say.

Good luck in brainwashing people on how good this drama is when the drama is flopping because their awful script and deleted the important scenes.

She is the one who admitting she is as shipper in the discussion below. She replied to my comments before.

And I do not like how she always trying to make it as if this drama is so good and no one is allowed to criticize it. And how she always reply others comment with: I like it though because A-Z. As if this drama is made for her only based per her likings. If you like it then good, if there are others who does not like it then it is also fine. No need to keep saying "I like this and that" under every comments criticizing this drama. I do not care about what she likes and I don't ask her for it. The world and this drama fans is not just revolving around her and she should know that.

And you too actually. Saying the deleted scenes are not important when without those scenes, many viewers admit they are confused. Also keep saying Jiang Qiaoxi scenes will increase in next episodes just to make people stay tune when with everything the production crew do until today, it is most likely he might only have so so screentime increase compare to now.

I am also on Weibo and Rednote and I never see the novel fans cheering on this drama. I stumbled upon many users disappointed with the script and with the deleted scenes. Also mentioning that the bullying part was outdated and unnecessary. They dramatize Cen Xiaoman in the drama when in the novel she never has a direct interaction to Yingtao.

Have you read the novel? If you haven't then try read it and you will understand why. The story telling there is much better than the drama.

No wonder other dramas from Daylight has been flopping badly since years. Seems big production company is not a guarantee of a good drama.

It is the script that make viewers running away. Yunhe ratings not even reach 9% until now. Yunhe gave it S rating while we only has 8 more episodes to be aired and the heat index now is decreasing again plus tomorrow only 1 eps/day update for 2 days in a row.

Until now, there are no memorable scenes from this drama. Their friendship development are not build well for it to be called as an ensemble drama. The romantic relationship are not build well for it to be called as romance drama. I understand now why CCTV-8 drop this. The first drama from Daylight that doesn't air on any satellite TV or CCTV.

And why viewers can't understand Jiang Qiaoxi? Because this drama didn't try to build his character setting and deleted many key scenes related to him.

Now you blame the viewers? Is this drama made only for you who is shipping the actors?

And please stop saying such "I love the effect of this and that" to the comments who are not liking this drama or scene or having different opinion with you. I don't care what you think of their scene because no matter how sweet it is now, they already failed to ensure the viewers that both of them has such a strong bonding to keep them remembering each other for years.

Now, Jiang Qiaoxi will be seen as a jerk while Yingtao is just a girl without any dream to be pursued and her focus is only "how to make Jiang Qiaoxi stay by my side".

And fyi, viewers in chinese platforms has been calling this drama as "The Legend of Big Cherry" "The Great Story of Cherry" because ML and supporting characters are looking like NPCs besides her.

You should read the novel and you will understand why I said this. Anyway it is a normal for a drama to be criticized. You should accept this instead of trying to make everyone love this drama blindly and irrationally.

They made changes for the necklace. In the novel, he didn't take it during high school era but during primary school era. Yingtao and others went to a temple and she lost her necklace. Jiang Qiaoxi is just moving to the provincial capital asked his driver to go back to Mount Qun to meet them. He didn't meet them but found her necklace and keep it for years.

After married, Yingtao will find Jiang Qiaoxi's backpack used during his childhood and found her Cherry Amber necklace in it.

Just saw about the deleted scenes and seems the 40 episodes is not just a rumor. It will be better if this drama becoming a mainstream drama with more eps during their childhood.

Now people blaming Jiang Qiaoxi as a bad guy for kissing her then disappearing and Yingtao as the obsessed one. This will not happen if they show more about their childhood time because that is the foundation of why he is so memorable for her. If only they show how Qiaoxi's cousin is the one who gave him the light before he went to Qunshan, and if they show how Yingtao and Qiaoxi spend their time during their childhood, no one will missundertand Qiaoxi's action and this plot.

Oh sorry I mixed up with a reply here of accusing me haters or something when I'm not. good then but as I said, I still feel she is a selfish person in that letters matters and how she behave.

I compare this show with the novel so I feel shocked on how they change some details of her character. Also because it is Daylight project, I expect better script because until now, none of the dialogues are memorable enough. I feel it can be better than this.

Watch again and see how she asked him to write even after he already explain. The keyword here is "after explanation" and she said "So I know you still don't forget me".

Flashbacks are not helping because it looks like scattered now. no one knows what year it was because in the novel they use important events during those years into the story.

For number 3, you just read my reply to another user here. I said she is selfish because she still have the nerve to ask him to at least write back or call him so she know he remember him after he explain his situation.

She gets lots of love from parents and also her friends. Maybe to meet someone like Jiang Qiaoxi who is not able to show his feelings freely was a new experience for her but it turns to an obsession if you keep insist to get the same amount of love and attention when he barely gets as many as her. Even Jiang Qiaoxi himself aware of how he can not give the same amount of attention to Lin Qile.

I said she is selfish because even after Jiang Qiaoxi explained those things you mentioned she still consciously say: you should at least write back to me or call me so I know you still remember me. It is giving the vibes of how her feelings is the only one matters in this friendship. His mom cut the phone line and even tore apart the letters he write. How could he contact her then?

That is the part that doesn't make sense. She lives with Jiang Qiaoxi for a long time so she should understand his family situation by then. Yet after arriving at new school, all of them seems to forget about his family situation and keep blaming him.
