Truthfully this is more of a parody of a BL. Nothing feels serious, just overacted. BUT the combination of it all is just hilarious for me. It was a fun show. I really enjoyed watching this. Best part of the show (for me) was that the characters were multilingual. Since I live in a multilingual household as well, it was really fun to see it in a show.
The way I see it she is pretty important. She has the traditional wife role. Her old and traditional ways of thinking clearly brings a bit of discord in her relationship with her husband. Don’t know what’s in the novel but I know he won’t leave her. There are scenes with the good husband wife scenes but I don’t really mind it. It’s not long. There are way more scenes with the two MLs and they have more chemistry imo. Don’t know how you will feel but do give it a try. Maybe you will like it.
People who are concerned about BL not being there. I would like to say that the wife is not a new character. She is in the novel as well (though i have not read the novel). And I feel that people who were enjoying the intimacy of the MLs shown in Untamed would be able to see it in this drama as well. The chemistry between the two male leads have been really good so far (12 episodes). I would definitely recommend this show. I binged all that's out. Don't be put off by the censorship!
