I love Yayoi and it hurt my heart to see her crying and in so much pain. Her mom's phone call was so cruel, I hope she forgives herself and heals from this trauma. No wonder she felt lonely, she had no support system.
Yayoi and Mizuki are such an interesting contrast. One woman who initially wanted an abortion but decided to keep the child because she ultimately had the support of her parents. Another that wanted to keep the child but had to give up because she had no support whatsoever.
Its so sad because at the end of the day, it takes a village to raise a child and Yayoi did not have a village. If she had decided to keep the child, life would have been harder for her and her child than it was for Mizuki and Umi. I wonder if she feels it would have been worth it anyways. Its so heartbreaking, everyone in her life failed her.
